Comments about NIKON MC-DC2 Remote Cord:

I haven't had a chance to use it on a professional project yet but I've taken it through some tests and so far, I've not been disappointed. My test have shown improvements in clarity of the photos and not to mention the ability to shoot in low-light conditions.

Comments about NIKON MC-DC2 Remote Cord:

It has been useful so far. i cannot say anything about the durability of it; ive only had it for a couple of weeks. it is easy to use and is reliable. my only qualms are a) that it isnt wireless so technically you could move the camera upon pressing the button...i know that i couldve bought the wireless one but you can only max out at 15 min exposures, which is not long enough and b) that you cannot set it to shut off automatically, which i saw a 3rd party one let you do. other than those two things, it is perfect.

Comments about NIKON MC-DC2 Remote Cord:

The MC-DC2 Remote is an affordable, simple to use basic wired camera remote for many of Nikon's DSLR bodies. One push of the remote button and your photograph is taken. You may hold down the remote button, or lock it in position for bulb mode photography.
The MC-DC2 is highly recommended and an essential tool for any serious photographer.

Best Uses:
Landscape Photography, Macro Photography, Studio
Describe Yourself:

Comments about NIKON MC-DC2 Remote Cord:

The cable release allows you to focus on your shooting without disturbing the camera - a "must-have" accessory for tripod shooting of landscapes, macros and long exposures where camera movement is unwelcome. Also useful in a studio setting when you've framed the shot on a tripod and want to concentrate on your subject, not on squinting through a viewfinder.

My only wish would be for a longer cable. Three meters is sufficient 90+ percent of the time but there are a few situations where I'd welcome a bit more reach.

Required for Sharp Photos from Tripod

Comments about NIKON MC-DC2 Remote Cord:

This remote is for the Nikon D90. It allows you to take landscapes, macros and portraits without the camera shake you often get from using the shutter release. It is almost perfect, lacking only the timers found on Nikons more expensive remote used on the D200, D300 & D3. It is a bargain at the price and consistent use with a tripod will improve your photos and give you more in focus photos.
