I would have given this housing a 5, but underwater I was not able switch between photos and video modes. (I believe there may be too much play in the mechanism that controls the camera switch.) Otherwise, this housing and the SD880is produce results that are better than my expensive housing,light, and lenses for my Canon AE-1. Plus, this setup does more, is not complicated, and is carried rather than lugged to your favorite destinations.

I absolutely love this underwater camera case. I used it once for scuba diving down to about thirty feet in Catalina. A few times for snowboarding. But mostly around the pool to take pictures and videos of my three kids swimming...priceless! Pictures are super clear, camera is dry and protected..this is a must for everybody with the Canon SD880. Also the best price I found throughout [...] at Abe's of Maine. Thanks guys!! I am one happy photographer!

The Canon Sd880 is itself a superb point and shoot pocket camera. I couldnt imagine a better point and shoot pocket cam to use underwater. The giant display is crystal clear underwater, allowing confidence in your shots. It pretty incredible the first time you take this thing underwater and start taking pictures. You enter into a whole world of photography you never knew existed. The video mode performs excelent with this underwtaer enclsure, with unexpectedly excelent audio performance. You can here every scuba inhalation and bubble out, which creates an incredible realistic effect when viewing the videos. Bottom line, if you ahve an SD880, and you are going on a snorkeling trip, or have a pool in your backyard, this is a must buy. Even for those without an 880, I say buy one and get this case. The durability of canon equipment and the performance of the camera above and below water well outweigh the cost.
