A highly practical, portable telephoto zoom lens at only 4.8" in length. With rear focusing, the lens does not rotate during focusing, retaining any filter effects. Autofocusing is quick and quiet; the powerful, professional ring-USM motor permits fulltime manual focus override. This is the only consumer-grade telephoto zoom lens from Canon with this feature, and it retains the 58mm filter size of the popular 28-105 lens(which also has the ring-USM motor).
