This is a specialty lens for architect and such they say. BUT this is such a fun to use in the city-scape as well. Control the perspective, show it as if it were miniature. Very sharp and great 24mm wide lens, too.

Comments about Nikon PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED Lens:
We are using this lens on a D3, and it works as advertised. We are replacing a 28pc 3.5 that barely worked on a digital camera (chromatic abberations/ poor color/light at night). We have used this lens for day and night shots where there isn't enough room to get any farther back (other buildings/streets etc.) The perspective control works flawlessly and gives more range than the 28pc did. We have also used the tilt feature for up close/angled shots where proper focus is needed across the entire image. The tilt took some practice, but worked flawlessly after a few test shots.This lens works best on a tripod, and is a manual focus lens. I would highly recommend this lens to anyone who needs these specialized applications[...]Although the lens was pricey Abes had the best price when we ordered it.
