The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of the new 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro lens. This digitally optimized zoom lens provides a high zoom magnification of 10.7x. The new lens coating reduces flare and ghosting, a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance. The 10.7x zoom ratio covers a wide range of focal length from wide angle to tele-photo making this a highly versatile lens ideally suited for many types of photography.

Comments about Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro Autofocus Lens for Canon:

I am shocked by the images captured through this lens. For this price I had no remarkable expectations beyond mere convenience. At near sixty-nine and after 40+ years of schleping too many lenses to work with I am now delighed to hang this light weight marvel upon my big Canon 5D Mark II and boogie on down leaving my toy compacts behind confident that I have the best of both excelence and convenience as a result.
Please read carefully: I don't like extraneous information, and think my tripod a fine decoration for the trunk of my car especially when doing 'in-your-face portraiture. This image is 5000+pixels full frame hand-held at ISO 400 available light. I don't care what you think of my work but this lens is fabulous!

Comments about Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro Autofocus Lens for Canon:

I bought this lens as a general purpose lens to replace the stock lens that came with Canon EOS XSi kit. I mainly use it for kids' sporting events and on vacation. The zoom is great and easy to use. I'm not a pro by any means but this lens and the XSi together makes it easier to pretend to be one. This is a good combination and a great lens for all around usage.

Comments about Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro Autofocus Lens for Canon:

One of the reasons I purchased this lens is because of the zoom range. It's very handy to be able to use one lens for close-up and wide angle. I'm still practicing with macro work, but overall I am very pleased with the lens. Great product for the money.
