Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I use this product for outdoor scenic shots. It's been easy to use and prduces some very sharp images. You may have to manually focus on really tight shots because the auto focus was to sensitive and picks up very subtle movement.

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I used this with my Canon T1i during my trip to South Africa during the world cup and it was awesome! Very clear pictures all the way up to 300 when the subject was sitting still, but could get a little blurry when they were moving around; didn't have time to suppress the tiny movements of my body. Also, the autofocus picked up some pretty odd things at times (like a single blade of long grass in the foreground), although that might have been the camera.

The zoom allowed me to get awesome closeups of amazing soccer players from ~150 feet away. Very glad I purchased this lens!

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I have a Canon 450D and this lens works perfect with my camera. It focuses fast, captures vivid color, and the image is just as sharp as my canon lens (not as good as Nikon lenses probably). The only downside is that it doesn't come with Image Stabilizer so with indoor photos I often had to use a tripod. In general, I'm really satisfied with what I got. For a [$]lens, you can't ask for more.

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I use this lens for high zoom situations, in the rugged terrain of the scenic Four Corners region of America. And for photographing wildlife at longer distances. It is not a pro lens, and should not be confused with one. But it works better than Canon's 70-300mm consumer lens, and even worked fine taking photos of wildlife 1/2 mile away without a tripod at full 300mm. It's serving my purpose, and fairly pleased with it.

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I used it to shoot my grandsons ball game and the pictures came out perfect. In the cannon sports mode it stopped the ball in mid air. I also took some pictures for things I put on E-Bay. The clarity was fantastic.

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

I am at best a dabbler who wants to get better so didn't want to spend to much on a zoom lens. I was kinda scared about it not having any kind of stabilization but the lens comes through like a champ! I'd still recommend a tripod if you can but it still shoots great freehand. Color is great and picked up a few filters for it and my wife loves the pictures. High recommendation to anyone who's a dabbler and doesn't want to fork over $800+ for a lens.

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

Okay I have to admit that I 'm truly a neophyte at photography. But what I've learned by touch has taught me that I needed a good mid focal range lens, one in the range from 50mm to 300mm. This Sigma lens works well for my needs with my Canon T1i. And it is of much better quality than the mid range lens that came with my package. The functionality of this lens matches my abilities with a large creativity range for the future. This lens made a recent trip to the Tide Water area of Virginia very enjoyable. I was able to take very good, sharp, color balanced pictures and I can't wait for my next photo trip with this lens. I must admit that I've not had enough use of this lens to discover issues bur for now I've very pleased!

Comments about Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro AF Lens for Canon:

This lens works well in all scenarios. Used this lens as a macro which wasn't the best but held it's own, night time, indoors with working bands, and a couple of family get togethers and the lens held up just fine. Sharp quality through and through.
