I am certain a good camera (Canon D1s Mark III) and flash helps, but this lense performed well and suprised me. I was concerned about proformance at night at a dirt track speedway, however using this lense the first night I used it and the camera I snapped some pictures I submitted to an area racing paper and was published. Also used this the following week at a motorcycle road course track from the infield and it performed magnifigantly.
