A lightweight, compact telephoto macro zoom with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.9. Excellent background blur to highlight the main subject in protraiture. Subjects as close as 4.9' can be shot at all focal lengths. LD (Low Dispersion) glass is incorporated with the lens, resulting in clear sharp images free of chromatic aberration.

for best results use a tripod but a steady hand gets ok results as well. It is a bit noisy which can spook wildlife. Much louder that nikon lens.

I use this for both my film Nikon as well as my D80. The lense seems to work fine for images farther away, there is a very slight fuzz on closer objects.
