I make it a practice to purchase extended warranties for my digital equipment. I feel it is a good investment to extend the warranty life as the cost of one repair in that extended period will have more than paid for the purchase of the extended warranty.

This Nikon D40 extended warranty was a great value at Abe's. Nikon's recent policy change now allows this warranty to be submitted anytime within the first year of ownership (for USA body only), not just within 10 days of camera purchase as stated on the warranty form. So, for around [$] a year this deal was too good to pass up..
