I purchased the light accessory for my Vixia HG21 about 8 months ago and the performance is very poor. Drains the camera battery very rapidly, provides insufficient lighting, good for spot lighting only 4-5 feet from the camera. The cost does not justify the performance. I would recommend getting an external lighting source using a long life rechargeable battery. Very dissappointed in the product since I purchased it.
