Comments about SIGMA ELECTRONIC FLASH EF-530 DG ST FOR CANON:

I think most people realize that Canon makes great products but that they are also VERY overpriced for most people. I needed a flash for general and school use and I very pleased with this item. If you have the %500 plus to pay for a Canon flash, go for it, but if you are like me and many others, less than half that price and you have a Sigma flash. In my opinion, it works just as well as the Canon, but Canon probably doesn't like to hear that. In addition, I have purchased from Abe's for many years and have never had any problems with them. This is hard to find today, and you should consider this when making a major purchase.

It's a very powerful flash. However, it doesn't have the 45 degree tilt angle.

Comments about SIGMA ELECTRONIC FLASH EF-530 DG ST FOR CANON:

With my canon 5d...When shoting in e-ttl mode it reduses light to much and even in 4m distanse camera uses aperture 4-5.6 but as its led nr is 53meter ((or about 40 without zoom,) it should use aperture about 10. And even with big aperture at 5 it often underexposure!
I use it just manually at full power since e-ttl dont work properly.
