As expected from any Rode product, the SM4 shock mount is of exceptional quality. It is constructed of rugged plastic and uses heavy duty elastics. It comes with a small bag of replacement elastics, as well as a thread converter from 5/8" to 3/8".I use the shock mount with both a Rode NTG-2 and an Audio Technica ATR-55 shotgun mic. The noise reduction is excellent, and combined with the NTG-2's low handling-noise, the results are excellent.This is exactly what I expected and more, and I am once again a satisfied Rode and Abe's of Maine customer.
