Comments about Audio-Technica AT2050 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone:

One of the two AT2050s I ordered was broken when it arrived (DOA). [...] The one that works, disappoints quite a bit. I've heard cheaper generic Chinese microphones perform equally well, or even better. Perhaps it's because the AT2050 is made in Taiwan, rather than Japan, where Audio Technica manufactures their quality products. This is a very disappointing purchase. I expect a Japanese company like Audio Technica to offer better products in these troublesome times.
