Comments about CAD Mics TRION6000 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone:

This is the CAD GXL3000 in a different housing. I mean the EXACT same mic!! The 6000 (and GXL3000) need a $400.00 mod to make it a good "Go To" mic. If you plan on spending $400.00 to mod it and can live with having about $550.00 into a mic then it's a Golden Opportunity!! You'll have a mic that will hold its own against ANY $2,000.00 mic! It has hope. Usable as is. I like the look and feel of it over the GXL3000. But remember, for less money you can get the same mic. Buy the GXL3000 instead. Prices are close. I prefer the bottle design and love the cage holder. It comes with a solid mic cage. It is a serious piece of gear!! The case isn't bad either. It's disappointing to find out AFTER the fact that I am going to need to spend another $400.00 on it to get what I though I was getting to begin with. All is not what it seems in the advertising world. Some people praise this mic and most hate it. This too I found out after the fact. And I did a lot of research. But I love CAD mics in general so I went with it.It's a bargain IF you want a real $2,000.00 mic for $550 bucks. That is what I want so I keeping it. I'm just lucky this one is upgradeable!!
