Available without internal CD-RW, model MR-16HD. This item is non-returnable once opened due to the fact that it contains a hard drive. I USE IT FOR HOME STUDIO AND SOME PROFESSIONAL COMMERCIAL WORK WITH FRIENDS,IT HAS A GREAT SOUND WHEN COMBINED WITH OTHER EFFECTS OR A NICE CLEAN SOUND FOR DRY MIXES.I RECORD ALL MY DRUMS AND CYMBALS ON INDEPENDENT TRACKS FOR INTERESTING SOUNDS.DIG IN TO IT,THERES A LOT MORE THAN DISCRIBED IN THE MANUAL.

I bought this for a home studio, I wanted simple easy to understand and price was an issue. Abes had the best price good communications fast shipping so no complaints. I have not had to use their service so I can't speak about that but I now look at Abes for other items.

The Fostex is sort of a cheap plastic product but they have been around for a long time and the units do what they say they will do. When price is an issue this basic 16 track gives you a lot of tools to make a good home project. I use mine with KRK6 powered moniters and a Korg M50-88 keyboard along with a mike and can do all I need.
