All the essential controls are right where you need them - no confusing menus to wade through to crank up the built-in guitar distortion - right there on the top panel. Real knobs. Real faders. Comments about Fostex MR-8 HD/CD - 8 Track Digital Multi-track Recorder w/built-in CD burner:

I have owned this for about 6 months. This is a good recorder so far. It took a while to understand, mostly because if you have not used a digital recorder before, you will be thrown for a loop with the terms used in the instuctions. But after a lot of study an trial and error it does everything it says it does pretty well. The people who write the manual should write it as if they were explaining to a beginer, not a pro. It would do a lot better if it had an EQ or at least a tone control (which it has neither.) All in all if you have plenty of time to read and figure out the manual it is a 4 star recorder.
