For the price, and at low, or even normal room levels these speakers deliver a clean, clear sound. I'm using them with a Sonic Impact Class-T (15w/ch) amplifier as near-field reference monitors for audio file processing and manipulation. With a sensitivity of 89dB SPL (that's 89dB of sound for 1 watt @ 1 meter - exactly where I'm listening), these speakers have the ability to easily produce 99dB at 8 watts -- way louder than I need. I can't address high level usage, but for levels less than 95dB, and a price of [$] each, these speakers are an excellent buy.
