I use this grind and brew mostly for my morning coffee. I have the program set 5 min. before my alarm goes off. By the time my alarm goes off I know there's a freshly ground and brewed cup of hot Java waiting for me in it's thermal carafe. The directions say to give the coffee a stir before serving, to blend the stronger early brewed coffee with the rest. The carafe will keep your coffee hot for 5-6 hrs.The unit shuts off after brewing so as to not bake your coffee. Clean up is easy for the grinder and basket a damp P.towell will do the rest. I'm a single union tradesman, wake up time is 4:45am.. I haven't been to a coffee shop since I bought this little baby. I use 8 o'clock Columbian beans and am Very happy with this "refurbished unit" [$] Buy one!

This is the second refurbished Grin and Brew I've bought. The first is still working (six years)but the thermo pot came apart (handle to pot). Since a replacement pot was $40 I decided to buy a refurbished maker again. For the $$$ and wanting a grinder and stainless steel pot this was the best unit I found.

The coffee maker did not brew all the water. Since I had thrown away the box I had to purchase another so I could return the defective one in the box. [...]We had this same model for over 3 years and never had one problem. (We just plain wore it out making coffee every day for 3 yrs.)
