The comments about the coffee pot are valid, just can't seem to pour anything out of the pot without making a mess. I push down on the lid to make it flip up and this helps. Bad design on the pour spout of the pot...
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I read previous pros & cons and decided to buy this unit. I'm not disappointed whatsoever. It's important to thoroughly read the instructions prior to using the coffee maker the first time. It took me 3 days to determine the appropriate settings for grind and brew strength. It's a much better unit than the Cuisinart Grind & Brew it replaced. It's at least 50% quieter and very easy to clean. One must be patient when pouring. Krupps could have designed a better lip on the carafe to prevent dripping when pouring.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Best part is the grinder is wholly isolated from the water dispenser - therefore no water gets into the grinder - therefore the grinder does not clog - great looking and well thought out design!
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
When our 2nd grind-and-brew of the other brand died we were fed up w/ their quality but addicted to the taste and convenience of an automatic grind-and-brew coffee maker so after some research we tried this.
It makes great coffee -- I'd say better than the other brand -- and is somewhat easier to set up and clean. But it is not w/out its flaws.
The spout on the carafe is AWFUL -- I spill coffee or water virtually every time I use it. This is a very annoying problem every time you make or pour coffee, and would seem to be something easily corrected by the manufacturer.
The machine fits on my counter OK but I have to pull it out to fill the bean and water dispensers. This would not be a big deal except the coffee maker has no-skid feet on the bottom making it very difficult to slide. Picking it up to move it back when it is full of water has proven very messy. However, problem was solved by removing the no-skid feet.
Parts of this machine are plastic and feel flimsy. I have concerns about how well they will hold up with daily use.
Finally, the filter and basket (that will eventually hold the ground coffee) stay open from the time you set up the machine until the grinding is completed (for me that means overnight). This seems to me to be a cleanliness concern, especially for those of us with lots of pets (and pet hair) in the house.
All that said, if it proves reliable I'll be very happy with this purchase. Great coffee, quieter than the other brand, and easier to use and clean.

Purchased a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with this purchase. Coffee flavor is excellent, much better than most.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I have had this machine for 1 year now- and 3 times the carafe has broken- and it is very hard to replace. Krups has been of no assistance at all. The worst part is that in addition to the carafe being poorly made- it also has a MAJOR design flaw- IT DRIPS when you pour! All 3 of my carafes have dripped- AND our friends have the same machine- SAME dripping issue! Seems like a very minor flaw at first- but VERY annoying- and a very basic function that you expect to work...While I have used Krups products for many many years- this will be the last Krups machine I ever buy. Better off buying a $15 machine from the drug store.

all the ground coffee does not come out of grinder
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Good product, pot too small, but brews good.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I read the reviews when I was shopping for a new combination grind and coffee maker. This one had the best options for the price. The criticisms against the Krups don't seem to be well founded - probably written by someone who just didn't read the directions. I have no complaints. It makes a great pot of coffee - I like it strong and black. Once you read the directions, operation is simple and, so far, after two months, dependable.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Quick and easy to use. Especially if you have been grinding your beans daily.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I posted my original review on 1/10/09 and I have been so pleased with this coffee maker that I wanted to give everyone a heads up after 4 months that I think I am even happier with it today. Well worth the money.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This is so easy to make and clean. So many grind & brews are really hard to clean. The coffee tastes awesome.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
We were looking forward to getting our coffee maker with all the great features, esp. the grinder, but are so disappointed. We ran several pots of water through and adequately prepared the filter, but still the coffee comes out not even tasting like coffee and a somewhat of a "plastic" taste. We have no idea what the problem is, and are even more disappointed [...] We spent more $$$ for this coffeemaker than we ever have, and it has been a waste of money!!! [...]

A friend and I bought this for a friend that is a "coffee aficionado" and when she received it she teared up.. she loves it and said that she has it on a timer to start in the morning.. Sometimes she will sneak down the stairs just to watch it grind and brew all by itself...She loves it. For the price, you can't do better..

Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This great unit is large but for important reasons. The beans are kept well away from the water well, adding to their flavor; The timer allows me to awake to the wonderful aroma of my coffee waiting for my first sip. Cleaning this unit is a breeze...just toss the filter. I noticed a few speckes of ground coffee the first time but NONE afterwards. I love the variety of choices one has over the brew..something for everyone. Get this unit...you will NOT regret it!
P.S. Makes commercial coffee taste bad.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Product has worked as advertised. Only 1 issue, when grinder lid closes prior to brewing it scatters grinds. Not a lot, but enough to notice. Being able to set the timer and having it grind just prior to brewing is probably the best feature. Additionally, no more measuring beans, just set the amount of coffee you plan to brew, strength you want it at, and the coffee maker does the rest. Excellent coffee...every time.

Over the years I have purchased many different coffee makers. This one by far is the best I have ever purchased. The grinder and water reservoir are in their own seperate compartments, so there is no moisture build-up in the grinder , and no clogged grounds. Very easy to clean. The coffe settings make for a great cup of smmoothe coffee, just right every time.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This coffee maker looks great and makes great coffee. All of the settings make a difference. The strength setting works well and the grinder settings work well. You can truly customize the coffee for your tastes. This coffee maker is hotter than most as well.
I haven't had any issues with moisture getting into the coffee hopper (like some other brands).
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I read a lot of reviews of several coffee pots with grinders. I love the burr grinder, though it does tend to wake me up in the morning (which is probably a good thing). The cup of coffee is hot and delicious. The grinder throws a very small amount of ground coffee onto the counter...but less than I used to get when using a separate burr grinder and transfered the grounds to the pot. No matter what, in my dry climate, you have to deal with a little static when using a burr grinder, so I find the mess to be extremely minimal. Overall it is a nice looking, quality machine.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
We make coffee 2-3 times per day and this machine has been what we've been looking for- makes great, HOT coffee. We use good quality beans and let the machine do the rest. It makes a great cup of coffee that can be totally customized to your flavor preferences. We played with the settings and found the one that works for us.[...]

I rated this a 5 star because for the money, I don't think you will find a better grind and brew. We had a cuisinart previously but the grinder was much louder and the unit leaked. This coffee maker is great and can be tweeked to make what you consider the perfect cup of coffee by changing the strength and bean courseness of the grinder.I highly recommend this coffee maker. ENJOY! WE DO!
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Love the fact that whether I use whole beans or pre-ground coffee, the taste is amazing.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This coffee maker is great. It is very well and solidly made. We love that it has a conical burr grinder. We love all the settings and couldn't be happier. It's very nice and we love our coffee!
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
We used to have the Cuisinart Grind and Brew which finally went belly up. It was a good introduction to the convenience of grind and brew machines but with no comparison, we did not know how much better it could be until we purchased this Krups. With the grinder sealed off from the brewing, we no longer have to mess with the coffee muck after each brewing cycle. And the Krups burr grinder is so much quieter than the Cuisinart. Don't get me wrong, there is still noise but the Cuisinart would scare you silly if it went off on its timer while you were anywhere near. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is that if you brew full pots of coffee like we do, you will have to add beans after brewing two pots. But while I agree they could have made the bean hopper bigger, the Cuisinart has to be filled for each pot and you have to measure the beans. With the Krups, you just change the setting on the control panel. All in all a very good buy.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This machine has a lot of options and takes time to dial in the settings for your preferred cup of coffee. But once you figure it out, you will get a delicious, HOT and perfect cup every time. You set the number of cups and the coffee strength, but you can adjust the number of cups setting without regard to how many cups of water you actually put in. Our perfect pot is 6 cups of water with the grinder set to fine, the machine set to 4 cups, "Aroma" setting, and strength set to dark. It's attractive, easy to use, easy to clean, and definitely worth the money.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I love the coffee maker. It is super easy to use and the brew is pretty decent. I find the strength settings useless, the weakest setting is nearly inedible. Mine is permanently set on strongest brew. I like the combined grind and brew functions, as this eliminates an extra step in the morning. There are, however, two big cons. First it does not come with a gold filter. I am not a fan of the paper filters. Second, the heating element is too hot. The coffee scalds quickly. I solved that problem by purchasing a separate carafe that I pour my coffee into immediately after brewing. Overall, I recommend this coffee maker. It is efficient, reasonably priced, makes a good cup of coffee and the drawbacks are minimal. [...]

Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
Very good coffee brewer. It is a bit pricey, but the grider is first rate. Makes great coffee!
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
So easy to use and really easy to clean! We get raves about the coffee--and it stays hot!
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
I wanted a grind and brew. After 20+ years with my old Krups I started my search. I did review Cuisinart and after soooo many negatives and my experience with Krups, I decided it was the only way to go.
It brews phenominal coffee! Whether I brew a few cups or a whole pot the taste is incredible!
Easy to set up and use. A quick review of the product info and in a few minutes it was ready to go.
Now my concerns: Just like my old krups, this one tends to drip when pouring. Most annoying is the splatter of coffee grounds across the counter when the grinder finishes/closes. Even when I clean the residue that builds up in the grinder it always scatters grounds when it closes.
Considering the reliability of every Krups product I own combined with its longevity, I will just wipe the scatter of coffee grounds in exchange for the best cup of coffee you could ask for. My parents visited during Thanksgiving week and raved about the fresh, delicious brew every morning. My father rated it among the best he ever had. He too is something of a coffee connosieur.
I highly recommend this product (any Krups product) for those who want top line products.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
The one big negative is that some of the ground coffee stays in the grinder part. It just seems like a waste to go the extra mile to grind fresh coffee when some of what you're using was ground last time you made a batch. Also, I think it drips a bit slowly, but that may be because my old cheap one was much faster.
I love the aroma feature for the 2-4 cup setting. I think it makes a big difference.
Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
It took a while to figure out the right combonation of settings to get the flavor the way you like, but once done, you virtually don't have to set it again.( except to make less than a pot). This coffee maker should satisfy everyone -from a very mild flavor(maxwell house) to the most robust(starbucks)

Comments about KRUPS KM7000 Grinder Brewer:
This makes great coffee, but here are the cons: 1) The coffee chamber for beans is very small and needs refilling every 2 days. 2) The exit chute for ground coffee has ground coffee remaining in it after each grind and needs to be cleaned out regularly so as not to back up into grinder compartment, even according to manufacturer. Poor design. 3) No outside water indicator on the reservoir, so you must use your coffee pot to measure and fill. 4) Coffee warmer stays on for only 2 hours, and cannot be adjusted. 5) Digital display for the hour/minute is in 24 hour mode (military time), and cannot be changed to 12 hour mode with a.m./p.m.
So here's how this coffee maker grinds and brews: you place filter in the basket, then close the basket holder. Then you swing open the basket cover to the open/locked position, exposing filter and basket to the air (??). When turned "on", the grinder sends the fresh grounds through the exit chute into the filter/basket. Then the basket cover, which you placed in the open locked position, now unlatches, closes the basket and the coffee starts brewing. Just make sure the filter basket sits flush in its holder, otherwise the basket cover cannot swing shut after the grind to close basket. You can also use pre-ground coffee by just filling the filter/basket and then close the basket cover. This makes great coffee, you can play with the adjustments to get it right for you, and it's very, very easy to clean...and not noisy when grinding either. Stay away from the Cuisinart Grind and Brew makers, as they are very loud and require you to clean not only the pot and basket but also the grinder compartment after each use! The Krups seals the grinder compartment from the water and any steam from the brewing process.
