This broke 6 months after we purchased it. Krups makes the customer package the coffee maker, send it to a independent repair center and then wait for the repair center to either repair it or send you a new one. I bought this because I trusted the name Krups, but apparently, the quality of their product is not reliable and they do not offer an acceptable solution when their product does not work. We have been without a coffee maker for over a month waiting for this issue to be resolved.

Makes great coffee with ease in about ten minutes. Haven't had the chance to brew espresso yet, but it appears to be straight forward. Stainless finish looks nice, but shows fingerprints and water splash marks.

Did not allow me to pour a cup before cycle complete, as stated it would do; the odor of the plastic when the lid is lifted remains overpowering and unpleasant after the first run-through of plain water followed by several days of use, and a run-through of baking soda (deodorizer).
