Flat, true bottom heats well on our ceramic cooktop. Boils a full pot in maybe ten minutes, maintains a rolling boil at medium heat. Absorbs and distributes heat much better than cookwear with clad aluminum bases only. Cleans easily, and any cooked-on food residues are easily removed with Bar Keeper's Friend.
