The most efficient way to cook? That's easy with the Portable Induction Cooktop Induction. Cooking utilizes 90% of the energy produced compared to 50% used by other cooking methods. Induction recognizes the base of the cookware and directly heats only the diameter of the pot, so very little energy is wasted? saving you money while staying eco-friendly. The cooking surface surrounding the pot stays cool to the touch since only the pot gets heated. The flat smooth surface of the Portable Induction Cooktop is made of high quality heat resistant glass making spills easy to clean. Spills do not bake on to the stay-cool surface, making cleaning a breeze! This versatile indoor/outdoor cooktop is great for entertaining; use it as a stylish, elegant centerpiece on the table, for outdoor parties and in the kitchen as an extra cooking zone.

Comments about FAGOR 670040240 - Portable Induction Cooktop:

We had seen induction cooktops in various Chinatowns and were intrigued by them. We purchased the fagor as it is the only portable unit widely available in the US. Within days, we were using it extensively. Boils water very quickly. We purchased an induction compatible wok and deep fried potatoes and cooked oriental food. We felt that you were able to get heat up a lot quicker, helping cook these kinds of food.

The only downsides are that all your nice calphalon won't work. Most quality induction capable cookware is pricy but, hey, it lasts forever.

Comments about FAGOR 670040240 - Portable Induction Cooktop:

I bought this cooktop for our RV. The RV is all electric and sometimes we don't have power good enough for the RV cooktop. The Fagor is good for this situation as it is 120 volt. It doesn't get as hot as I expected, but I'm sure that is due to 120 volts verses 220. I really have no complaints about it. It heats quickly, cools quickly and is small enough to store.
