We bought this cooker a year ago and used it daily. It still works pretty well.
The most important feature of using an electric pressure cooker instead of a conventional one is safety. Before we purchased this electric cooker, we used conventional rangetop pressure cooker. The seal ring of the cooker blowned twice. Luckily no body were severely hurt. I decided to switch to electric pressure cooker for a safer kitchen. It turns out that it is absolutely a wise decision.
I don't know how this pressure cooker controls the pressure inside. But it sure builds up pressure and stays at the pressure without producing the "hissss" sound as conventinal ones. After it keeps the pressure for preset minutes, it stops and beeps and keep warm. I usually press the reset button to let it cool down gradually. If I need to see the results right away, I just use the valve to slowly release the pressure.
It is easy to use. Most of the time we use only the high pressure function which requires only pushing a single button to set the cooking time in minutes of pressured time. With high pressure setting it cut cooking time by at least a factor of 2. We uses the suggested time from the manual and the results are pretty good.
A note here: I found that sometimes the cooker does not seal well at the start. You can see and hear steam comes from the cooker. Usually it seals itself after a little while without attention. I normally just shake the cover a bit and it should seam immediately.
Overall this is a very decent and safe pressure cooker.

Pinto beans in 90 minutes! That's amazing. Super tender meats. You just have to have enough liquid to make the presuure cooking mode work right. I don't use it to brown.

You are reading a review by one happy camper. I especially enjoy setting the timer and not coming back until after everything is cooked and the cooker keeps the food warm. I have only had the cooker for a few weeks so the fun is just starting for me. I cheat with the slow cooker by starting with the browning option. I don't recommend walking away from the cooker for any length of time as this is a very high heat setting and bears close attention.

This has got to be the simplest to use AND most versatile cooking appliance I have ever purchased. A 5 lb. whole chicken cooked in 25 minutes! Sweet! And it was fall off the bone tender as well as delicious. This was my first pressure cooker and I would recommend it to anyone. I have only had it for two weeks, so the fun is just starting for me. At this point I think my favorite feature is the "set it and forget it" convenient mode. Before I purchased this cooker I was a little skeptical about some of its claims, but now I couldn't be happier. I initially thought the price was a little steep, but now that I understand its multiple uses and how easy it is to operate, I consider the price a bargain (it is the least expensive of the three cookers available).

Sure, this is a good product ..and a bargain at Abe's price. I recommend it. It's not difficult to use. Though I kinda wish there were two types of wire racks included, because the one they include lifts the food many inches off the bottom. That's okay, but since you normally only need a cup or 3 of water under the rack, it seems a bit wasteful of space left above the rack for your food. I like to pressure cook a corned beef almost done, then quick-depressurize the cooker, add veggies, reseal and then pressure cook another 8 minutes or so. I found an 8" aluminum trivet/rack with squat legs, on [...], that is about a half-inch high, and I will likely use that sometimes instead of the included rack. Before I found the rack, I prepared such a large meat-and-veggie meal using a standard veggie steamer basket (unfolding petals type), which also sits low. That worked well, but of course it was nasty trying to clean all the meat residues off of my delicate basket.

I have used it as a pressure cooker 4 times, rice cooker, and a slow cooker and it has performed perfectly. Put a 2lb pork roast in and 45 minutes later dinner was ready to be served. I was only looking for a slow cooker when I found this and I'm not sorry at all.

Buying this electric pressure cooker is the best decision I have ever made on cookerware.
I used traditional pressure cooker before and there were a couple of times the seal broke and almost caused severe injuries.
This cooker is easy to use, clean, and cookes pretty fast. Most importantly, it is much safer. So far I have been using the high pressure mode. All you need to do is press the up arrow several times till the desired cook time is there, and press the start button. It doesn't take long for the pressure to start building up. You here a short "hiss" - probably less than a second long - that indicates that the water boils and the seal is there. After that there is no more "hiss" like a conventional pressure cooker. The timer starts to count down when the pressure reaches the setting. It beeps when the timer goes to zero. Let it cool down until the pressure is gone and your meal is ready.
I am going to buy another one as a gift to my inlaws.
Note: I have seen reviews saying that you should not leave the cooker alone till you make sure the seal is established. I think it is definitely a good idea in terms of safety measure. It is possible that there is a leak so that the pressure never reaches the designated value and the cooker keeps high heat and causes big mess. So I suggest not to use the delayed start feature.
