So far this product has been great. I have only used it for stir fry so far and it has produced great dishes. I love the high heat searing. It quickly seared tofu and chicken. I have kids so I liked the adjustable steam release so I could make the vegetables softer.

I use this at least three times a week-perfect for a quick stir fry when you don't feel like really cooking. Quick, even, and *controllable* temperature gets you there in hurry!
It's heavy weight and balance stays put even during the most aggressive stirring. Far cry better than any wok I have ever used! Careful with utensils though, wood or silicone only. Cleanup is a breeze!

The Breville Gourmet Wok is one of the best kitchen investments I've made. Things you should know: (1)it's large - much larger than other electric woks I've owned. (2) it heats quickly and at a high temp. Perfect for stir frying (3) the nonstick surface is high quality and allows me to cook with cooking spray rather than oil. Much healthier. (4) cleans easily (5) it's heavy, which is good and bad (6) heating element has safety features my old wok did not have

Our old West Bend wok's Teflon coating was giving out so we researched for a replacement. This Breville seemed to be the best available. HOWEVER, it isn't made in Australia! Guess where; CHINA! Had we known that we wouldn't have bought it. It's still a great appliance, though. I recon a few good things are made in China and this seems, so far, to be one. Time will tell.

My small kitchen does not have a stove or Microwave ( I rent a studio) so I needed one appliance for everything and found this wok. I have made soup, slow cooked and stir fried. It looks great setting out for I have very little storage. I think everything about it is great, no faults.

We've been stir frying for years; have used several good woks in the past. This product is extremely well thought out and produced. The build quality is excellent. The teflon coating is great and allows much less oil use if one desires less. This is one quality WOK. I will look for Breville branded replacements for other things we own as they wear out.
