I highly recommend the 1 lb Zojirushi from Abe's of Maine. This was my first bread machine and first purchase from Abe's. For over 30 years, I had always hand kneaded my bread plus I'd rarely bake anything in the middle of summer heat. I've had my unit a year now & it hasn't found its way into storage as it is right on the counter where I first put it and it looks great. Its small foot print is such a nice space saver for our tiny kitchen. The 1 lb. loaves are bigger than you think! Love the versatility of various bread texture settings & so easy to bake a cake from scratch. The machine is programmed to give perfect results - cornbread that is like real cornbread, french that is chewy like french bread, cake that is light, not like a bread trying to be a cake. It is such a pleasure to use, doesn't heat up the kitchen, easy to clean, safe to use around elderly & kids, fun to watch while in progress as has see-thru window on top! Well designed machine that was worth the investment & the best deal was with Abe's.

This little unit (makes 1 lb loaf) makes a wonderful loaf of bread. It is just the right size for 2 or 3 people. Has several different settings-easy to use. Highly recommend
