I lost my first DLC-X in a house fire so this is a replacement (Twice the price of my first). My favorite use is for banana bread as I can make 3 loaves with this size. It's also indispensable for shredding cheese, hash brown potatoes and slicing veggies. The best size out there!

The lid apparatus seems more confusing than it needs to be. The seal at the base is SO good it is often hard to lift the bowl off. I use the machine mostly for making dips and thick sauces so far and I couldn't be happier. The large capacity is just what I need.
