This is our first food processer so I don't have much to compare. The Cuisinart is very easy to use and does a great job slicing, chopping and mixing. I have not done bread dough or used the grater but am sure it will handle it fine. The unit is very powerful and quiet. It really comes in handy for big cooking jobs, really cuts down on the prep time. Only downside is the cleaning but this is probably commmon for any processer. I do recommend getting the holder for the blades.
