Comments about KitchenAid KPFP850OB - Pro Line Series Food Processor - Black:

Overall, this is a great food processor - especially for large jobs. The motor is powerful and relatively quiet for a appliance of this size. We haven't had it bog down yet on any of our doughs, though our dough isn't a super-thick type.

On the cons:

- Weight: This is a beast! The motor and sturdy metal base weigh over 30 pounds in a compact size. A small bit of a challenge when we have to move it frequently. But, hey ... What do you expect for a 1,000 watt motor? If this weighed less, I would be suspicious.

- Parts Storage Box: This is nice to have, but it doesn't have a locking lid, and it doesn't store all the blades. The medium blade (which we almost never use) is "stored" on the processor, while the large blade (our most commonly used) is stored in the parts box. But, you can't just swap them out in the box.

- Cleaning: There are lots of nooks & crannies on the processor bowl & feed tubes. While we can run them through the dishwasher, we need to pre-clean when we are making dough. Cleaning dough trapped under the mounting post on the blades can be tricky. However, this is probably true on all food processors.

Cheers!

Comments about KitchenAid KPFP850OB - Pro Line Series Food Processor - Black:

I use the processor to chop vegetables in a commercial kitchen - the only downside is it turns softer veggies to mush if too many go in at a time - even on pulse mode. but with due care and adjusting the quantitiy it works like a charm - i love it!
