Its heft seems key to its quality--heat distributes well, crepes cook nicely without burning, and it can be cleaned with ease. A stellar pan. However, I find the spreader tool more resistant to easy mastery, and also the darn handle keeps becoming detached from the spreader bar. Nonetheless, the tool's novelty confers charm, and I'm always happy to practice with it for at least a few crepes.
We have been so delighted with this particular crepe pan which we had received as a gift that we bought an identical one for my mother.
