For several months my wife and I looked at various knife sets. It finally came down to a choice between J.A. Henckles, Wustof, or Messermeister. We stopped into a knife shop at the mall and felt each of the knives in our hands. The Messermeister felt best, but was a little heavier than ther Henckles Four Star that we were looking at. While we were in the shop, someone came in asking for a repair on a Henckles knife. The employee said that she gets that constantly with that brand but never gets that with the German steel from Messermeister. We decided to order from Abe's and saved $80. [...] My wife is so happy now that she finally has a set of good knives. Almost daily, she will call me over to show me how they cut. If they hold up as other postings say they should, then this will be an excellent purchase. Yes, they are expensive, but you will have them for life with a lifetime warranty.
