Before I purchased this rice cooker I did a lot of research and this one seemed to be the one for my needs. At first I followed the directions for cooking rice and it took about four times to finally get it right.I like Jasmine rice and the manual didn't have any suggestions for how to cook Jasmine rice and my rice kept coming out starchy. I added a little less water than what was recommeded for white rice and it now cooks perfect. Just like following a cooking guide, you have to adjust according to your personal taste and experiment a little from the recommended suggestions. This is a good buy, you wont be sorry!
