I wanted this toaster to be extraordinary because of the cuisinart name but it is like any other toaster and doesn't brown very evenly. On the lowest setting, one side is just right and the other is almost too brown. My old toaster actually did a better job toasting evenly but I will use this toaster...it's very good looking.
