Works very well. Toasting bread is not rocket science, but you would think so with the variety of devices that you can buy.

Two long slots is much better than four short slots. Especially when you want to toast slices from the middle of a round loaf of sourdough.

My only complaint is the instructions are not helpful. They tell you all the usual stuff about how you shouldn't toast bread while in the bathtub, but they don't mention how to use the bagel function, which is very useful. When toasting bagels, you put the cut side toward the middle, and only that side gets toasted. Although this is intuitive, there is no indication that this is what you are supposed to do. Anyway, the toaster works very well and is reasonably fast, and it looks good on my counter.

Appears to be very study and long lasting.

This is a really nice toaster. A little pricey, but it is unique, and works well for me.
I love sourdough bread, and the loaves I buy in the San Francisco Bay area are round shaped, and when sliced the center slices are very long. This toaster accommodates them easily, so it's perfect for my uses.
