Comments about LG INFINIA 60PK950 60" Plasma TV ATSC - NTSC - HDTV 1080p - 16:9 - 1920 x 1080 - 1080p - Surround, Dolby Digital:

The lg 60pk950 was much greater then I could hope for. I was researching this item and trying to homebase to compare side by side with other competitors. I could not find this model within 100 miles of me, and now I know the reason why. If I would have compared this to any other flagship models side by side, I would have chosen the LG PK950 series hands down. I'm certain other shoppers would have done the same.

I did not know came free with the unit. Great added bonus except that the dongle does not connect to my cisco Valet without the software that came with the Unit. All very user friendly and easy to set up. With step by step instructions. The remotes conform to your grip and easy to use with nice soft grip buttons, batterys are included. There are no buttons that protrude at all. Everything is touch screen for the power button and other menu options. Fast to respond to touch and not sensitive as to be accidently triggered. I was blowing on the power button till my face turned red, my dog even walked by to do his own testing and did not trigger the touch screen.

The screen is one giant glass, there is no frame like other models with an enclave. The frame is so well camoflauged that it seems that I'm staring at a black pool with a clear picture. Kinda makes me feel like some wizard staring at a crystal ball. The illusion of this is greater when used with zero light. I receive zero glare on this screen when I use a light source from the ceiling.

The mount the tv comes with is well thought of and made, I hardly notice it is even there and does not create a glare or reflect light. It is sleek enough to reflect your image and does not reflect ceiling lighting.

The pro setup for color preference is very easy to use and amazing when contrast to original factory settings. (I would not recommended to max pro settings first 200 hours use of plasma, and use the default settings. Its just a consumer paranoia of all other plasma model reviews and research. User beware.)

Using the web browser was a big shock. I was able to easily read all the text at a good 10 feet distance. Having the 60PK950 connected to my computer and using an air mouse made browing the web on my tv enjoyable. Updates are checked automatically and quickly downloaded and updated if there are firmware updates. You can browse or watch youtube while the program is downloading and installing. Of course when its finished your tv will need a reboot though. The usb dongle is well hidden. I cannot directly see the USB dongle unless im looking at the tv from the sides or from the behind.

My only gripe with this tv is that you can easily create fingerprints. I can create a greasy palm on the screen from touching my hair then palming my screen. I am rather grubby thoough...eating chips and touching the tv is a no no. and I do like my hair products. I've created palm prints even after I washed my hands and pressed. Wiping the screen was simple, like cleaning glass. Takes a while to clean though. (User manual says to not put any kind of hard pressure on screen. Also no liquid cleaners unless product is labled specifically for tv cleansing, or to be cleaned while tv is on or after long duration of use. No man handling cleaning, like waxing your car here.)

I would defintely recommend this tv friends and family.
