As many reviews suggest, this tv makes an obnoxious buzzing sound when you are seated directly in front of it. Waiting to see if it goes away after break in before calling in Samsung. If you want to use the wireless features, you have to buy the proprietary wireless adapter from Samsung. No dice with a linksys one from Newegg. Had to research forums to find out how to shut off the HDMI port sensing feature since it made using a Harmony remote quite challenging. Overall a great set. Watched Avatar on Bluray day 1 without calibration and was blown away by the picture. Puts any LCD/LED out there to shame and is near the black levels of the well known Kuro sets of yesteryear's.

Noticed I made a mistake on my first review and selected "No, I would not recommend" so I'm resubmitting. I definitely would recommend this TV to a friend, still very happy with it!
Let me start off by saying my last TV was a Sony LCD and I had pretty well decided on LED this time around. After doing tons of research on all the options out there I took a chance on the Samsung Plasma over the UN55C6500. Man am I glad I did, I have officially been converted to a Plasma fan. The picture is far superior in my opinion and the refresh rate incredible. It's plenty bright if you like a brighter TV and the blacks are much better than on the LCD/LED's. Also was able to get a little bigger TV with more options, including 3D, for a little less than the 6500 LED. I don't know what people are talking about when they mention a buzzing sound. Yes, it makes noise when it is on and muted but it is such a non-issue. I don't notice a thing unless I'm really trying. With even the lowest volume setting on there is no way I can hear it. Really should be the least of your concerns, people just have to have something to focus on because they can't find anything else to complain about with this TV.

It is better to have more ports to maximum flexibility.
