This is a solid TV for the price you pay. The picture quality is very good and it is very simple to set up. However, the sound quality of the TV alone does leave something to be desired and there are not enough component inputs.

Great Picture "LED" is the way to go!

Amazing picture! I did not realize how brilliant a picture could be. My only concern is that under one of the standard presets for picture quality, the picture fades out after about 15 minutes to a drab view. When I select one of the other standard presets, this does not happen. I am keeping it since it would be a hassel to return, but I hope that in the future the other presets don't start doing the same thing. [...]

Overall I love this TV and am very happy with it. I'm overwheled with the menus and all the options. I really don't like that the speakers are in the back of the tv - that just doesn't make any sense to me. Which may be why the sound isn't the greatest...but tollerable. You really gotta play around with the picture options and sound options to find what you like best. The tv itself is beautiful, a great size too. So although I have mixed feelings about some things...we really are happy with it.

If you don't care for the latest bells and whistles (web apps, 3D, wireless network connection), this is the best LED TV money can buy.
What I like:
* Stunning picture. The picture looks even better than my Pioneer plasma. Very good contrast.
* Very thin. You can hang it on the wall as if it's a picture frame.
* USB media player. I was going to buy a media player for the TV but it is a DLNA player and it plays some Divx/AVI files.
* Network access. I hardwired it to my home network and I can access media from my home PC (Windows media player 11 acts as a DLNA media server). And again, it only supports some video formats.
* Light weight. I did most of the set up on my own and hung it on the wall in less than a few hours.
* Autodimming feature is a nice touch - the backlight dims automatically when I turn off the lights in the room.
* Several picture scaling options to fit the picture to screen.
What I don't like:
* Lack of support of certain audio/video formats as a DLNA player.
* All the wires go to one side (instead of the middle)-if you want to hang it, you almost have to cut a hole in the wall to hide the wires.
* Has Picture in Picture function but difficult to use (no button on the remote-you have to access it through the menu)
* Poor sound - tin can speakers. My pioneer plasma sounds much better.
* No HMDI 1.4 support. I guess it doesn't need it yet, but it may in a few years when more devices are equipped with HDMI 1.4.
* Only one component video input (for my Wii). No S-Video input (for my PS2 or old DVD recorder)

I just bought this TV a couple of weeks ago. [...]. I had no trouble setting up the TV. I got HD cable and the picture looks great. I am no expert so all the reviews I read about Samsung TV's were great information, but I thought it looked great right out of the box. The picture is clear, the color is good. There is not much for internet applications, and I haven't tried to connect to my home server yet. But, if I really wanted all sorts of internet stuff, I would of bought the higher seven series. Overall, it is a great TV for the value and Abe's had a great price.
