Out here in the farm country, I'm fortunate to have high speed 15 Mb DSL service. Nothing else is available but I can take advantage of the services available to me by enjoying live streaming movies from NETFLEX and other internet available services on my internet ready LED TV by Samsung model UN46C8000. I don't know where the home entertainment is going with the internet TV's but I'm positioned to ride the wave here in farm country with my Samsung UN46C8000.

I just got the TV a couple of weeks a go and this is the largest purchase I've made. This is my first LCD purchase in a while, I've had a Pioneer Plasma that I've loved forever, but just moved to Boston and left the Pioneer back home. The picture is extremly clear, almost too clear, sometimes I feel like the TV shows are live action TV, which takes a bit to get used too. The features seem great. I read through some of the comments, I'm pretty sure the C8000 doesn't have WIFI, as it wasn't an option, but I had ethernet right behind the TV so I didn't dig super deep. The Internet options are great, can't wait to try netflix out. The Yahoo gadget bar is cool and the Internet TV seem great, first time I've had these options on a TV.

I watched the masters in 3D, pretty cool, but your eyes get tired pretty quick, active 3D makes your eyes work more than passive 3d IMHO. I'm stuck with unreliable comcast in my new building, so no 1080P coming through for other channels. I did the 3D combo and got monsters vs aliens. Wife and I watched a bit of it to check out the 3D. Way better quality than the Masters in 3D, but to be honest when I remember watching HDTV for the first time versus Standard TV, that leap was way bigger than from HDTV to 3DTV, maybe when more content comes out. I was hoping to get Avatar 3D, but those jerks are going to wait a year before releasing it. But atleast Comcast has the 3D Channel, maybe they will do more events in the future.

TV is beautiful, nice and thin. One comment about the C9000 it won't support the pin-point dimming, so the C8000 is Samsungs best picture TV. That touchscreen remote can be purchased, but it won't allow you to watch TV on the remote with the C8000 like the C9000 does.

Setup was simple, haven't really dug deep into the features. Sound is OK, but then again I'm used to my home theatre. Does extremely well with the glare and I haven't mounted it on the wall and I'm using the standard stand, comes in handy to turn it slighty to get the glare from the sun out of the picture.

One more thing the 3D mode has some ghosting, I wonder if that will be fixed over time. I do think it is worse when your eyes get tired though. I don't mind the glasses, but I wouldn't wear them in public ;-)

If you are getting a new TV, go for this one, don't be put off by the 3D as a gimic, all TVs are going to ship with them, I don't think you are paying a premimum for the HD. I still love my Pioneer Plasma, the thing is 6 years old and still has a great picture, but this is way better than the two Sharp LCDs I own, espicially the one I dropped and broke the screen on.

This is one smart HDTV. It does a great job of deciding the correct resolution for the source, especially when using HDMI 1.4 cables and a compatible Samsung Blu-ray player.

The size and weight is wonderful and the picture crisp and artifact free. The sound quality was decent but I preferred to hook it up to a 5.1 sound system via optical audio to get great sound.

There are plenty of HDMI connections but I wish that there was an option to customize the names instead of just a static list to choose from.

The available apps are excellent and run very fast. The Netflix implementation is almost as good as the AppleTV version and the YouTube app works great as well. Some of the apps are fairly useless but it's great to have them anyway.

This is an amazingly thin and impressive HDTV. I highly recommend it!

Only snafu, which wasn't Abe's fault, was that the HDMI board failed shortly after we got the TV. Samsung service got someone out to fix it though and it has been great since.

Incredible picture that is life-like in a fantastic looking package. Sound without a home theater or additional speakers is not great, but that is what to expect.

A great TV excepting that the sound is relatively weak.There is substantial glare if I leave a drape open. Despit these minor shortcomings, I will soon buy the 55 inch model for my basement.

Using netflix and other online Apps couldn't be easier - no need to go through a gaming or blueray system to get streaming video. If you don't have a cable/ethernet hook up nearby where your TV will be then you can always go wireless. Once you connect to your router you can even play Windows Media Player on it. I haven't figureed out yet if you can use iTunes though. It's a beautiful and extremely smart TV. Buying from Abes of Maine gave me the best price - about 3-400 dollars less than at a retail store.

Amazing picture quality with one caveat... make sure you set the motion setting to "clear". I found that the "standard" setting made things look fake in some HD movies. Hard to explain, but if you see it for yourself, you'll know what I mean. The picture is pin sharp, you can see every little detail down to the pores. Seems to be great with fast moving action. Black levels seems to be very good so far. The TV itself looks great also. If you get it make sure you do it justice with a great receiver, like the AVR 1911 from Denon. The combination is off the hook.

The picture is unbelievable. Even alongside a top quality plasma, this picture is stunning. It looks like you're looking at the characters through a window, instead of on a two dimensional screen.

When unit is wall mounted is very hard to access the jack behind the TV.
Jack should be access able without take the TV of the wall. Major drawback.
Also no mounting screw provided with the unit.

This is a great TV to watch!!! It has a neat image and a good sound.. My unit has a red dot in the middle of the picture in dark colors you hardly can see it.. SAMSUNG will replace the TV with a new one after trying to replace only the TV panel.. The new panel didn't fit in the TV frame for some reason.. so they will replace the whole TV..Gracias Samsung!

This TV is great. The picture quality is outstanding. Even the standard definition looks good. It even automatically detected my network attached storage and it can access all my photos, videos, and music which was great when family was over. The only weakness it has is the sound, but I'm almost positive that anyone looking at this TV is also going to invest in a separate sound system. I didn't buy this for the 3D, that was just a bonus feature that I hope will be useful in the coming years. I highly recommend this TV.

First time buy for Samsung, great quality pictures especially watching HD program/channel. easy to installed, i did purchased an expensive $79 HDMI wire (to match with tv 240hz)but found out the output for the cable box and bluray was only 60hz, so if you looking for HDMI wire to go with tv no need to buy expensive one, shop around online you will be surprised. Abe's of Maine has the lowest price[...]

Have to upgrade the firmware. This might improve picture quality. Component from cablebox seems to have better picture quality than hdmi. Maybe hdmi reveals more imperfections in the cable signal than component.
