I bought this for my kitchen since I already have a larger set in my dedicated home theater room. I didn't want to pay an additional monthly fee to rent another HD cable box so I wanted a set with a good QAM tuner. The one in the Samsung is very high quality and unlike some other sets, which overscan and/or do not integrate the channels into one list (separate digital and analog lists) the digital (HD) channels appear in-between the analog (SD) channels when you scan. Comcast (and other cable carriers) don't advertise it, but the local network channels and PBS are available on HD sub-channels directly through your cable, with no cable box necessary for descrambling.The WISE link USB port allows you to use the set as a giant LCD picture viewer for your .jpg files on a flash memory USB stick. Much better impact than large prints!Great color controls to set the picture as you like, and the DNIE system makes SD look good, though obviously not as good as HD channels.As for value, I shopped around and Abe's Of Maine had the best price when you consider the [$] value wall mount they included.
