I have several other HD TVs. This one by far is the best. The picture is almost 3D. The sound is fine. Don't know why others have complained. I get HD over the air and it is as crisp as that over satellite. The standard analog over the air is fine as well. Multiple connection options, most I probably will not ever use but they are there. I also bought a 32" Sony for another room. Don't like it near as much and wish I had gotten all Samsung. After seeing this picture, thinking of replacing my 50" Toshiba in the media room.

I use the LCD screen for TV watching and Movies, and the HDTV clarity is so clear, it was an adjustment to get used to, vs. my old TV that wasn't HDTV.

The best picture I have see so far in LCD televisions. The pixel resolution and aspect ratio is by far the best. The colors are very vivid and the picture is very sharp and clear. Also, the 120Hz refresh rate is great for watching fast action scenes or sports. I am very glad I purchased this LCD televison from Abe's of Main. [...] Got the item,inspected,connected and enjoy.Samsung really makes great LCDs. This one is worth it!!!Better than 40ALN650!

awesome picture when hooked up to high def. sound is very poor though, i will need to get a speaker bar or something to deal with that. but i kind of knew about the sound going in. other than the sound, everything else is top notch.

Great TV. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Solid remote. Plenty of plugs in the back. I watch a lot of ESPN and it's crystal clear. I have it in the bedroom and the 40 inch from 10 feet away is perfect size for the room.

I realy took my time looking at who had the best product in this catagory, and the Samsung 750 is the one to beat! It is easy to set up, was a snap to mount, conect, and navigate through programing. The picture as clear as you can get, but, it still gives older films that great warmth that comes from that grainy film feel in movies from the 70's and before. I loved from the moment I hit power, so will you!

very nice tv, looks beautiful. i bought the LN40A750 because i heard such poor reviews of the LN40A550 and LN40A650 sound. i'm not impressed with the 750's sound either, i will need to do something about that. picture quality is great, even on standard definition satellite. i'm a [...]stock holder for 10+ years, love to shop there. this tv was $1800 on sale at[...]. i saw it at abe's for about $1360, delivered to my door. i was concerned about how it would arrive. the tv arrived in great shape, on time. i will be purchasing my next two tv's by shopping at [...], figuring out what i want, and ordering from abe's.

I am retired and watch the TV often. This was my first purchase of an LCD flat screen TV. I am impressed with the picture quality and the setup was very easy. I have HD cable service and even the non HD channels are very clear and crisp. The sound is good as well.

The plastic construction is a dust magnet.

I play X-box on this television and it is fantastic. I moved up from a 15 year old 27" to this high def 40" and it is like seeing tv for the first time again. Wow!

Use in our small entertainment center area and it is perfect for that. Quality of what you see and hear is superb. 120hz refresh helps most of the time, but doesn't eliminate all the judder (I think this is the case with all brands). If you don't have a lot of HD to watch, this may be more expense than you need, but it will future-proof your viewing. Only wish I have is for an On/Off switch on the front somewhere so I didn't have to use the remote all the time. I would have purchased the 46" but wife thought it would be too big. Don't worry about it being too big - you can watch it 4 feet away and it is fine (same with the 46"). Use the surround sound mode for extra great sound. Probably the best [$]I ever spent. I was afraid of having it shipped if bought via internet, but it was delivered well boxed. If you think about it, the stores have to have it shipped to them, and then handle it in the store, and then deliver it to you. You probably cut out excess handling by buying it on the internet. Abe's has been great for several equipment purchases.

This LCD is stunning in both its performance and its design. The touch of red is just that, just a touch. So far there are no negatives and I would highly recommend spending the extra couple of hundred to buy this over another brand. Samsung is the best

My boyfriend and I just purchased the 46" of same make & model television back in August, and it changed the way we saw TV. The images are so clear and crisp that it seems as if you are standing right in the movie. We just simply couldn't bare to watch any other television, that we went out and bought this one.

Can't say enough good things about being a proud, new owner of our LN 40A750 LCD Samsung. It is like having a new baby in the house, everyone wants to see it. We play a lot of Wii games on it. It is perfect for that. Has GREAT color and clarity, beautiful sound. I did a lot of research before buying and I can say this one is living up to its advertisement. Would for sure buy it again. Am more than happy with the decision to go with this make and model.

Amazing HD picture rivals XBR4. Excellent sound on HDMI. Time consuming to choose picture format from the remote. Glare is noticeable for bright rooms. TOC touch of color is hard to even see and I am happy with that.

I did lots of research scouring the internet and visiting the local big box stores. In my opinion, the Samsung is as good or better than a comparable Sony but with a 30% savings. You can't go wrong with the Samsung. This was the first time I purchased a TV over the internet and was somewhat reluctant to do so. Questions that I struggled with were will it arrive damaged and is the vendor legitimate? Shop no further than Abes of Maine! They were very professional, experienced, and competive. I will not hesitate to use them again.

Although the HDTV off air programs were terrific the regular off air shows were particularly disappointing when blown up to 40". They looked much better on my old 32" RCA CRT screen. That problem will be moot next February. I had no audio when using the HDMI inputs for a few days until I realized what the problem was. It was not a Samsung setting (I wish it told me). I had to change settings in the computer and DVR that were feeding it.

Beautiful picture.
I just wish that the Picture in Picture function was more useful. There is no control for it on the remote. You have to use the quick menu. If one wishes to switch the sound to PIP, the only way is through the main menu and there is no easy way to switch between the pictures. Very poorly designed.
Other than that is is a great tv, much less reflection from windows and lamps than with my older crt tv. It very nearly eliminates it.
Movies on DVD look a lot sharper too. All in all, besides the above gripe, I am very happy with it.

Excellent picture color, but glare from light reflections can be annoying if viewed in a bright room.
