This is on our wall in our living room. Looks great. Super easy to use and to figure out. Thought it would be a bit more details though as far as programing and setting up external systems.

I would recomend this TV because of its great picture qualityI however i had to hook it up to my surrond sound to get the full experience.the speakers provided in the set prevents it from a rating of 10

My wife and I have only had the TV for about a week now but are both very impressed. It is easy to use, has great clarity, and is aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion, Samsung TVs are the best TVs available at this time. We considered buying a new LED TV but decided against it due to the comments and research we heard that said the price increase was just not worth it.

We originally bought a 55-inch Samsung at another well-known electronics retailer, but it was just too big (I know...is that possible?!). We will be buying a house soon and discovered that it wouldn't fit in many of the houses we were looking at b/c many of them had premade, recessed entertainment centers that were simply not big enough. We are very happy with our current purchase and could not find a better price for the value anywhere. I'm usually pretty good about getting things as cheap as possible without buying them from a sketchy/unverifiable source.

The only negative for us is that the TV did not come with a Netflix widget which I find strange since many of the Samsung Blu-ray players do come with a Netflix widget. It does have Blockbuster and YouTube widgets but no Netflix. Maybe Samsung plans to add it some time when they send out another update for the TV. Instead of waiting for an update that has a Netfilx widget, we'll probably just buy the Samsung Blu-ray player that has wireless internet connectivity and can use Netflix.

Another cool feature: you can update the TV via your ethernet internet connection. Just hook up the ethernet cable to your TV and you can update the TV using the tool menu. Also note that the TV does not have wireless internet connectivity. You have to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable hooked up to the back of the TV which is not a problem but something to be aware of. You can buy separately a thing that physically hooks up to the TV (it is a bit expensive in my opinion) that provides wireless capabilities, but it would probably make more sense to just buy a Samsung Blu-ray player if you really want that ability. And Abes has some great prices on the Blu-ray players as well. I wish they would offer a combo package with the TV and Blu-ray together.

This LCD has a great picture, Samsung is doing a great job with there LCD TV'S going to order a samsung sound bar now for it.

PROS
Great TV at a great price. Excellent HD picture and easy setup.
Love ability to easily access my media on any PC on my home network; specially to watched downloaded TV shows and movies and view my pictures.
TV Widgets are a great step towards merging the PC and your TV for a great online experience !!!

CONS
TV Widgets take forever to load, to the point that you ended-up don't using them as often as you would want to.
Sansumg is missing key TV widgets (i.e., Netflix, CBS, Showtime, Sports) available on other TVS (LG, SONY). I was very dissapointed as not having the Netflix Widget to stream movies directly to my TV. I called Sansumg for support, but the person had no clue whatsoever on what I was asking her for. No plans to add those widgets on the near future.
Would like to see additional TV widgets to do basic Internet browsing (i.e., check movies times, read online newspapers), view internet TV (i.e., internationa channels in TVU) and read your mail (on read-only mode to start with); then I wouldn't need to go to my PC as much anymore!
Lacks ability to add more memory to download media content to your TV.
Media viewer a bit clunky. Hopefully future versions will enhance this cool feature. It is frustrating not being able to eaisly advance your movie to the location you were at before you stopped it.
Lack connection on the front of the TV for easier access to cameras and PCs.

Great picture quality. I would recommend going to cnet.com to obtain the optimal picture settings from their review. Sound is not the best, but is fairly good for TV speakers and it is easy to connect to external speakers for improved sound quality. Overall I am very happy with it so far.

I'VE ONLY HAD THIS LCD FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS BUT EVERYTHING IS SUPERB SO FAR. I ALSO BOUGHT A BLUE RAY DVD PLAYER, I'M WAITING ON MY BOSE CINEMATE THEATER SYSTEM TO COME IN THAN THE SETUP WILL BE COMPLETE.I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH MY CHOICE AFTER RESEARCHING ALL BRANDS, I BELIEVE I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.I JUST WISHED I COULD HAVE AFFORDED A LED, MAYBE SOMEDAY.

This is a phenomenal display. Setup took minutes and was self-directed. Folks have finally realized a TV is off more than on and the design is a work of art. Display HD image is clear and crisp and sound is good. Controls are easy to use and intuitive. If you have need of a 40" display this is a very good consideration. I researched for months and this was the best bang for the buck and Abe's offered the best savings. [...] I purchased the extended warranty since I am in a lightning prone area and repairs can be costly. I sincedrely found no CONS. I would definitely buy again and may in fact get a second later.

No manual supplied with television. It was a gift to my father-inlaw who does not have a computer. Therefore it is difficult for him to make adjustments or look up information in the use of the television

This is a really nice television. The picture is superb, especially when viewing blue-ray. The menu offers LOTS of options for adjusting the picture and is a bit complicated, but well worth it.

very nice to use with laptop and my archos media player the only problem i have is when its mounted on the wall its not easy to hook up wires in the back instead of the tilt wall mount i would have got the one pulls or swings out for easier access
