Sound quality could be better, will probbly need to buy a sound bar. The TV has an ethernet outlet, just need to figure out how this can support video downloads.

Let me start off by saying the picture on this is incredible. Crystal-clear. It also works great as a computer monitor (although you will want to turn the contrast down as it defaults to 100 which produces ghosting with text). I used to watch internet video at 1080p on my 21" computer monitor, and the resolution actually looks crisper on this despite it being 40". You'll want to optimize your settings (contrast/brightness/backlight) for watching different broadcasts. Blacks in the picture may not be perfectly black, but they are very close. However, blacks on the top and bottom of the picture (from letterboxing or watching a non-widescreen format) are not as black which is a little annoying. Fortunately I bought this for the picture quality and not the extras which are really not worth it. If you are thinking of spending extra for the 240hz, don't bother. I keep trying to use it but turning it off because it looks really strange. Also, I have my computer plugged directly into the TV (with a wireless keyboard and mouse) so the internet connection and widgets are completely useless to me, although if you don't want to hook your computer to the TV I guess it might be kind of interesting. It's slow to load, though, and a bit of a pain to navigate through. Finally everyone told me this and I didn't believe them, but you might want to think about getting something bigger. 40" seemed gigantic to me in the store, even next to the larger televisions. But after watching it for a few weeks, I can't help thinking that maybe for the same price I should have gone with a 50" Panasonic Viera plasma (which some people say has better picture quality). Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention is the glare on this screen can sometimes be annoying. I'd say about 90% of the time you don't notice it, but sometimes it really sticks out. However your only other option in that respect is to get a matte-finish LCD, and there aren't many left anymore. Bottom line on the TV: if you have the money, it's a fine TV. However if it's at the edge of your price range I would say don't bother. Buy a cheaper brand LCD or get a plasma. The LGs and Toshibas are still pretty nice at nearly half the price.

The Samsung TV goes way beyond my expectations. The picture in HD simply can not get any better unless you are there and even then the TV might be a bit better. Non HD channels are also extremely clear and brilliant. My only MINOR issue with the TV are the controls at the bottom of the set are nearly impossible to see but the remote is the primary way to control the set anyway.

Basically, dollar for dollar it's hard to beat the quality of it's picture with a good signal, and it's very good when watching a poor signal. There are, however, 3 isues I have with this TV - 1 - very average, maybe even less than average sound. - 2 - if you like to use PIP, there is no easy way to access it through the otherwise thoughtful remote...you have to go through a maze to get there, VERY inconvenient. - 3 - Although available to download online, an owner's manual does not accompany this set which I think is rediculous! Having said all that, I am still happy with the TV because of it's tremendous picture quality.

This is my first HDTV, but I researched like crazy before I made a decision. I am very happy with my purchase. The picture quality when combined with a blue ray player is incredible. Scary good. I have no cons to report at this time. Setup and installation were relatively simple. No regrets.

I had an older model 40 inch LCD Samsung and thought it's picture and features were top notch, until I purchased this model. I have yet to find another brand that has the dynamic sharpness and brilliance of the picture than Samsung. The new LED version is even brighter...maybe too bright and much more expensive. I also noticed with the 240 hertz that fast moving backgrounds in movies do not blur as they did on my older set. With the addtions of widgetts, there is some already installed additional features, art, music, game, children stories and food recipes. The only issue I have is there is a USB dungle type device simliar to a 3g wireless card that comes separetly [$] to provide wireless access to Yahoo for additional widgett information. Samsung should include that with the set.

I use this television for viewing Blu-ray movies and playing PS3 games with it performing excellently. It's very lightweight and snazzy looking. It has lots and lots of options. The only negative comment I would have to advise about is when playing action PS3 games, its 240Hz sometimes can't quite keep up but turning game mode on cures it.
