Because I am tremendously picky about picture quality, but always look for incredible value, my selection came down between Sony and Samsung. I chose the Samsung for the several hundred dollar savings, my past experience with Samsung quality, and what I consider a slightly better picture overall. I could not be more pleased with my purchase!! [...].The TV and its picture is FANTASTIC. In fact, some HD programming is now a little too sharp to watch. some scenes from CSI and Discovery are too graphic to watch with this quality picture...LOL. Everything was plug and play with easy channel setups and extremely good default settings. I have not put the 120Hz refresh to the test yet.....or at least I have not noticed "motion" affects in any of my movies or programs. This is an easy to use, excellent TV!! For the $$$, you will not do better.

I use it for home. The picture is great, set up easy. The only beaf I have with it is the placement of the connections could be better. Some need extensions to get to.

The picture is superb and the styling is excellent for our home (although not for everyone). It was easy to set up and baseline calibration is available online. I would buy one for everyroom in my house.

I did a lot of research before deciding on the Samsung LN46A630. 46 was dictated by the size of the cabinet and, because of the brightness of the room, I went with 630 for reduced glare. I could not be happier with the product! Picture is bright and vibrant at midday and/or with all the room lights on. The image is stunning with HD input and very good with SD. All I can say is, why did I wait so long?! [...]

This is one of the best TV's on the market. No screen glare or reflections due to matte finish. Colors are spot on with fantastic contrast & brightness. Absolutely one of the best TV's for any home situation. I own 9 flat panel TV's and this is my personal favorite. Yes, Samsung has passed Sony in picture performance and has a better price. Highly recommended!

I purchased this tv and I am amazed at the picture. I researched tv's for months and the absolute best bang for your buck. It has a unbelievable picture, no glare,attractive and the sound is great. I looked at the sony bravia and this particular model has it beat hands down and you save money. How great is that!!!

I chose this TV over the samsung LN46A650 because of the semi-matte finish and because it has less red around edge. The semi-matte is great, only see any reflection in extremely direct light. The red "Touch of Color" is almost non-existant on this model, you really have to get close to see that there's any red at all. Picture is amazing with HD, bluray, PS3, and even SD channels are better than I expected. Swiveling pedestal also a nice touch, makes it easy for me to get behind it and swap out connectors (HDMI, component, etc all work great). If I had one negative about the TV it would be that I have yet to find programming (HD or otherwise) that really benefits from the Auto Motion Plus 120hz feature.

[...] Now on to the TV. The LN46A630 is absolutely great!!! The picture quality is excellent and there are 3 HDMI ports - enough for your cable, BluRay, and video game consoles. There are tons of customizable picture settings, but i find the standard setting to be pretty decent. I went with the 630 instead of the 650 because the red Touch of Color on the 650 is very noticeable, while it is very subtle on the 630 (barely visible) and features a semi-matte screen (less glare). The 120mHz Auto Motion does make the picture look a little like a home-video when set to high, but that can be turned off or set to low for regular TV watching. Did I mention the price? You get great features and an excellent picture quality for a fairly good price. No it's not as cheap as budget HDTVs, but in a side-by-side comparison with comparable brands it shines. All in all, I love this TV and have no buyer-remorse with this baby.
