After doing alot of research on LCD TVs I finally settled on this one. I had seen many other TVs in the stores but I have to say that I am very happy with my choice. I could have gotten the same size, resolution and the 120 refresh rate at a lower price with a different brand, but I had heard through other review about the nice deep blacks and the good design. If you know what to look for you can see the difference in quality. I also hooked it up as my new computer monitor and I have to say, WOW!

This TV is my first LCD and it was a very wise choice. The picture is so clear its scarry. I also signed up for HD with my cable company and now I can no longer bear to watch anything but HD. When viewing a show in HD, the best way to describe it is that you are actually there with the people on the screen and it seems to be almost 3D as well. There is depth to the picture and that makes for a truly wonderful TV experience.

We have an open living room and combination kitchen area and this TV lights the place up! It's easily viewable from the furthest point away in our kitchen and allows us to cook, viewing clearly from distances up to 20(+) feet away.
Beautiful resolution and awesome colors!
The sound is adequate but leaves a little to be desired.

I mounted this on my wall for Blu-Ray movies and high def TV viewing. The touch of color is nice in my room but I'm not sure why they didnt stay with the basic black color for the bezel. The remote is nice, and the attempt at a circular scrolling wheel was laudable, however it doesnt work so well when scrolling through lots of channels. There are other options on the romote though so if the scroll wheel isnt working for you as well as it should you can switch to other directional buttons. The screen is too shiny too. It looks fabulous when the TV isnt on, however when it is on the screen still reflects under certain lighting conditions. Its not a big problem, but something that I'm surprised Samsung didnt anticipate. The only other thing that can be kind of annoying is the boot up chime that the TV uses. Its kind of loud and I cant seem to figure out how to change it or turn it off. On the positive side, aside from the incredible quality, fabulous picture, decent built in sound and multitude of connections, the ilink feature is cool too, I have stocks, news and weather set up on mine and I refer to it more often than I thought that I would.

After a lot of homework in reading reviews and visiting different retailers viewing different manufacturers we settled on the LN46A650 through Abe's and we are very happy we did. We purchased it solely for use as a tv with a very occasional movie. I connected it myself through our Bose home theater system and the Comcast box and it could not have been much simpler. It basically sets itself up and straight out of the box it give us all that we were expecting and more. In addition it arrived well ahead of schedule packed exceptionally well and none the worse for the trip. At this price point I would definiteley reccomend it and have already had a friend buy one after viewing it.

I have been waiting and researching for both price and reviews for almost a year and this TV was worth it. Easy set-up and user friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the sound comes out the back and we put the new TV in a new hutch which muffeled the sound, this is more the placement than anything. I bought a sound bar and that took care of the problem. Good buy.

Glad I chose this over a Sony. I am very pleased with my choice. Easy to set up, looks great, easy to navigate through the on screen menus. I read where some people don't like the thumb wheel on the remote, but I don't see the problem, works fine for me. The sound is pretty good also. This tv was highly rated in a well known consumer report magazine, that's why I chose it and am glad I did. Excellent product, love everything about it so far.

We watch many silent and "classic" movies as well as live HD programming. This Samsung model is excellent with very good sound. It was the largest width set we could fit in our entertainment center, with the largest and best picture. Better than the comparable Sony sets. Good price without compromise on picture quality.

What I really don't like about this tv is that it shows picture in 3572 by 2870. Ok, maybe I don't know the exact dimentions. But have you ever looked up people's noses? It is not a pretty site.Attach a flash drive and have some high megapixel pictures. Seriously this has such a good picture, I now have to convert all the old slides because this is a great slide projector. Does anyone want to come over and see my trip to Alaska? I have 22,560 pictures of mountains, glaciers, birds... Bring a suitcase, it will take a long time to see all of them.
This is a great tv. Easy menu and setup, great connectivity. Since my old 36 inch CRT had a glass screen that reflected back in the room, I learned a trick.. dim the lights, if you have to have them on because you are afraid of the dark, locate them to the side of the set. As for window light,there is an old fashioned invention called the room darkening shade.

Besides the giant nose hair, the remote circular thingy takes a bit of practice... Some have complained that it reacts too slowly, I think the opposite...

The picture quality on the Samsung is probably the best I've seen yet! The colors are bright and bold, with deep blacks (which can be adjusted by the way). There's alot you can do with the TV itself and pretty much everything from color to sound can be adjusted to my liking. It has all the connections needed to make the best of your HDTV and any HDTV accessories. The only complaint I have would be the sound. They admit that they're giving you "surround sound", but it sounds more like two speakers in a can. (well maybe a little better than that, but you get the picture) Maybe for the next release or upgrades, they could work on installing a better sound system. Who knows what they'll do next... Anyways, I've done alot of research on the LCD's before I even went looking or actually going to buy anything. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone out there looking for a 42" to 46" LCD. You probably won't find a better quality TV out on the market. There's alot of them that are cheaper in price for the same size TV, but you'll get what you pay for. In my opinion, the only two I would consider would be the Samsung or the Sony.

This TV is absolutely amazing. It not only gives me the greatest picture quality when I am watching Bluray DVDs and playing HD games but it has the ability to automatically decode certain HD channels from my cable provider. Football looks brilliantly sharp and the 120 Hz feature means smooth action. The info link function makes this Television feel more interactive than just having a flat screen LCD. Wouldn't spend my money any other way.

I read a lot about this tv and decided to buy it. Maybe my expectation was too high. I found that under the "standard" setting the picture is not sharp enough and some colors are funny. After I set to "dynamic" it is much better. Other than that, it was fine. I am not sure it is worth the money, considering it is more than 400 dollars more expensive than 46A550.

Samsung LCD TV's are highly rated and the LN-46A650 is among the best. The size is perfect for most applications, about 10' away from the set. The picture couldn't be better, whether you're watching movies or sports. The color and contrast between whites and blacks, as well as the clarity cannot be beaten, at least when judged by the naked eye. Anything more would be a waste of money. You can view the set clearly from many angles. You can see with minimal glare from daylight through a window. No need for a completely dark room. There are no bad things I can say about the TV, the price or the service with Abe's of Maine.

I personally use this product with my home theater system isntalled in my living room. It's a great upgrade for any that is looking for a large size HDTV with the best quality picture. However, there are some minor cons. Overall, the sound quality isn't the greatest; especially with HD channels the sound drops notoriously. The remote control is not universal, so it only controls the TV.

The picture on this TV is crisp, clear, very detailed. The unit itself is very modern and beautiful. The set-up was easy. My only complaint is the stand. I wish it were wider. The unit wobbles a bit at the lightest touch, so make sure to keep the kids from bumping it or throwing anything at it. Our previous TV (Olevia) was sturdier.

The LN-46A650 is an excellent product. This is my 3rd flat screen, one LG, one Panasonic (plasma) and this one is the easily the best...TV is very easy to set up. The default setting are fine and I didn't find much need to do alot of fiddling with TV parms...The sports and cinema setting work well. I ditched the remote for a universal (my wife can't handle ten remotes laying around) so I don't obviously have much criticism of the remote wheel as others have...Picture clarity using HD DVDs is awesome...of course that's why you go to 1080P in the first place. So, if you're looking for that and nice 46" screen, then look no farther.[...]

This is a great TV. It arrived a few days ahead of schedule and was very easy to set up. I mounted it on the wall, tipped it slightly toward the viewing area and have no issue with glare. The picture is outstanding. I know there are so many adjustments I could make but it really isn't necessary. The Football games are incredible!
Oh yes-the price is very good and far more competitive than the brick and mortars could even dream of.

I find that the television is more capable than my cable company can match. Some broadcasts have errors that the t.v. picks up on. I've watched animated movies, sports, and regular movies and the images appear liquid. Some movies are so clear you can see movie effects. Some movies you can see actors acting as if you were on set with them. That was an awakening. Movie critics should watch movies in high def because you can see stuff you wouldn't see otherwise. So far the reaction around the house is literally "wow" by everyone that sees it. I also use it as a PC monitor...So cool. I can't wait to plug in the BluRay this Christmas.

Only using it for two weeks so far, but no issues or problems of any kind. Easy to hookup and use remote. Using it connected to HD cable. Picture is very good, bright, and clear. Most notable improvement over our old set is the good view during daylight hours in a sunny room.

My wife typically is against watching television but after I set this up and left the room, I could hear her saying "WOW, you have to see this." I knew I had made the right choice. The only negative thing is the remote. The wheel selector may have been a good idea on paper but it's way too sensative to the touch. It mimics the ipod scroll wheel but it doesn't match it on most levels. Don't let the remote control discourage you from getting this t.v. Just buy a different remote and enjoy a truly amazing viewing experience.

I’m not technically savvy, however, I base my comments on the quality and appearance of the TV. In simple words, this TV is fantastic. The picture is so crisp, that it ruins movies when you watch them without HD. If you’re not watching the movie via HD, it will seem low budget. But in HD, it’s just magnificent. One thing I have a problem with, probably because I have tech. deficiency, is setting up the TV remote to my iO cable. I have to use two remotes in order to watch TV.

We love this TV. It has an excellent picture. We just had my family over, and every one of them commented on the picture quality, even though they all own HD TV's. I would buy another product from this comapny in a heartbeat, based on this unit.

The TOC made me a little nervous so I checked it out in a well lit chain store first. It is a subtle accent that is difficult to see in the day time and impossible in the night.

It's a very attractive set. Set-up was easy:works right out of the box. I'm new to HDTV so I may not know all there is to look for. So I did a lot of research and found a very flattering report in a popular "consumer reporting" magazine that sold me on this samsung. I check it out at the big box stores so I could see it side-by-side with other makes and models, and this one was the best. Abes had the best price by far. That was a couple of months ago. Prices have dropped (getting ready for the holidays) but Abes of Maine is still the lowest. (bought my samsung blue ray DVD player from Abes too.)

the room i have tv is in a room with a lot of sunshine. even in this bright room pictures is still easy to see.

I had been shopping around for a new large screen TV for a while. When I saw this Samsung product I knew it was what I wanted. I would definitely buy other products from Abe's. The TV arrrived a few days after ordering it in perfect condition.
