I've finally arrived! After 16 years with my old TV, I researched all LCDs, using consumer reviews and different web sites. It took me a couple of months before deciding on the Samsung 750. I am amazed at the quality and the best price was Abes of Maine.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Fabulous color, crisp images, easy controls, even the sound is great. The start-up delay is a non-issue...only a couple of seconds! I am a complete HD convert now - want to see everything in hi-def, and am looking forward to getting blu-ray. You will not be disappointed with this HDTV. Samsung is my new favorite.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
I utilize this is my bedroom to play PS3 and watch blu-ray movies- I throughly enjoy this product and would purchase it over again.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Love this TV, got HD from Direct TV and love it, sometimes it makes movies look to real, and you can see the CGI and wires, LOVE IT. Really gives me the edge on my pc games, Love pushing it to 120hz, really makes the games and movies come to life, at 1920X1080p, WOW!!!!
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
I looked at several televisions in stores and read dozens of reviews online. I liked the sound and the picture on the LN46A750. The room we use the television in is about 15' by 30'. There is a lot of sunlight in the room during the day and I don't have any problem with glare. At night there are three fairly bright lamps lit and there are no problems with reflections on the screen. I will eventually install a surround-sound system, but honestly, the television sounds so nice now I'm afraid surround-sound will be too much if I raise the volume.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Absolutely stunning picture quality. Built-in slide show feature a nice bonus - as is the port for the thumb drive.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Using in our bedroom to watch those late night movies without disturbing sleeping kids. Distance from eye to screen about 10'. Wall mounted with full articulating mount (recommended). Connected to Samsung Blu-ray player. Movies are incredibly detailed to where you can see actor's pores. Deep, rich blacks. Sound is fine with built-in speakers and subwoofers, but don't expect surround sound. Provides plenty of options to tweak various settings for your viewing preferences. 120Mhz motion correction works well but this option is personal preference. I leave it off on streamed movies from Netflix, but turn on to Low for Blu-ray movies. Strongly recommend to update firmware to ensure that you're getting the most out of your TV.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
First let me say that the picture is astounding. When you're watching any movie it somehow adds depth to the picture so that it looks life-like. This doesn't happen on other programs--only movies.
The touch-of-red is understated yet adds great aesthetic value. We have all black entertainment center, speakers and coffee table and it fits great.
There are plenty of connections for virtually anything you would ever need. Hooking up a camera to the side is something I have never done with other TVs yet I feel as if this is how I want to see all of my pictures/videos now. You can even hook up a computer or laptop to it and use it as your computer screen! You just need the right cable and it works just that easy.
You can also place pictures, music or video on a USB memory stick (or an external USB Hard Drive) and access it through the WiseLink port on the TV. You just have to make sure that everything is in the proper format as the TV is picky about what it can show.
The included content is sure to please all-comers. The image gallery (though a very small number of pictures) makes the screen jump with life to demonstrate the picture to friends. The kids content Boowa & Kwala is great for all ages, though anyone over 12 seems to need a few viewings to fully appreciate it. I have my friends now singing "I crunch and munch and eat my lunch"!
The black levels are eye-popping. You can distinguish amazing black detail in dark scenes. I didn't even realize how many different shades of black were out there until I watched this TV.
The lack of glare is amazing. I can sit and watch the TV with all the shades open and sunshine blaring in and still discern everything that needs to be seen. This was a big downer for my previous TV.
The TV also comes packaged very nicely. The box is big enough that you don't have to worry about small holes in the packaging affecting the TV. I had it shipped to me and there was a big gash in front of the box that looked like a forklift got a little too anxious, but the TV was untouched. The TV is shipped with the base attached which adds about three inches of space between the frame and the box. And the styrofoam keeps it snug in the box during shipping--no packing peanuts anywhere.
Now for some small downsides:
The TV seems to attract dust. A small cloth will easily take care of the problem, but it seems to be a weekly chore.
The remote is a little unwieldy. The rotary scroll button is hardly an iPod interface. Plus it doesn't include the option to control other devices. At least give me access to my cable box!
The InfoLink connectivity isn't that great. I expected more. You can't get the InfoLink main screen to go away while it's activated. It shouldn't be obtrusive! It sits there in the upper-left corner doing nothing while the InfoLink is on. Also, I just want a news/sports ticker but the option to show multiple veins isn't available. It's either one at a time or everything. I bought the separate wireless InfoLink adapter and feel as if that was a waste of money now. And the InfoLink port is the same that is used for the WiseLink. You must decide which to use at a given time.
Overall though, this is a superb TV. I purchased it because my brother had the 2007 model and I was amazed at the picture. Based solely upon their viewing experience I now have friends who are considering buying this TV.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
The picture is gorgeous and setup was a snap. (The cable guy could not get the HDMI working but it works fine thru the component connection.) [...] After I had the TV for a couple of weeks, I noticed a dim shimmery vertical bar on the left side of the screen. But it was intermittent, appearing only when certain colors were in the picture. It was not as bad as it sounds and I could certainly live with it but I called Samsung customer service anyway. Surprisingly, I was connected to a rep almost immediately. She told me they would call the local authorized service center which would then call me within 2 hours. The center did call me and said they would send out a guy to check it out. Two days later he showed up, took one look at the TV and said I needed a new panel. (He said that will take a couple of days.) During this time Samsung called me back to verify the service center did indeed call me back and that the problem was being resolved. Extremely impressive customer support.

This is a great television. You cannot go wrong buying it. After a years research, this TV proved to be the best selection.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This TV has great picture quality and a good host of inputs. I am currently feeding Cable DVR, PS3 and PC via HDMI; DVD player via component and Rotel AV Receiver via S-video. The built-in content is not too compelling, I haven't really looked at it much after the first time. The DLNA networking is not very well implemented, has a clunky interface and requires too much work on the back-end to make sure your files can be seen. I would recommend buying the LN46A650 and either a PS3 or XBOX 360 instead, as they have better capabilities for media streaming than those built into the Samsung. I calibrated it based on the dark room settings reported at [*], and the picture is fantastic for 1080p BluRay as well as cable HD sources. All in all a great TV, but the networking functions don't make it worth the premium over the 650.

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Samsung vs Sony. 1st Flatscreen I bought was a Sony because it was rated #1 and it is/was great but I think Samsung is competing for #1 status now. Some of this is a result of improvements over the past 4 years but nothing gets better than Samsung's 120 MHZ Touch of Motion. Resolution is so good, I've started replacing all my bedroom, office, and spare room TVs and friends who visit want to know the specs on this TV. Thanks to my daughter who did the research and bought this TV, causing me to replace my Sony. Bought this TV in 46" and 52" sizes from Abes of Maine and it doesn't get any better than this. [...] Receptive sales persons, no pressure, informative, great to work with and I will again.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This LCD is great. We love the quality it has when playing movies and the WII. Awesome for gamers. Only two issues with this LCD. 1. The remote is a little difficult to figure out. 2. Some of the channels come through fine, while others are not as clear. We still have our old antenna and have not upgraded our cables. Maybe if we tried those things it might be perfect.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
For general tv and movies... love the size. Getting accustomed to the wide people.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This lcd replaced the dlp in our family room. The picture is visable from all areas in the room. Setup was a piece of cake. I have actually already upgraded the firmware which was very easy and straight forward. It has an integrated network connection which allows weather, news, and stock updates although I would like a full blown browser.
I would not hesitate to buy another Samsung LCD!
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
The image quality and crispness are really wonderful.
I like the additional features (like WiseLink) and the through the Internet connection you are able to see news, stocks, weather while watching your favorite shows.
It works very well with my Panasonic Blu-Ray player.

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Beautiful crisp picture, easy wall mount, HD tv picture is life like! No motion blur wacthing sports (the reason I bought it). 120hrz on watching movies makes everything look fake/ computer generated because the picture is soo clear, I normally turn it off for movies (easy to do). Heard Samsung is the best- I now know its true.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
I CERTAINLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE FOOTBALL GAMES ON MY NEW SET - EVERTHING WAS SO MUCH CLEARER THAN ON MY PREVIOUS SET.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
IT'S WORTH THE MONEY.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This really is awsome, its been three weeks and I still stop and marvel at the clarity. We have another LCD in the bedroom (37in.) and I would not expect that there would be much difference when picking up HD off my cable. There is! It is night and day.
I still get some glare but that makes me wonder what I would be living with if I had gone with the Plasma.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
[...] Picture was excellent. However it worked just for 1 day and the set died. There is a clicking sound in a stand by mode and TV won't turn on. [...]

Have enjoyed this tv.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This TV replaced a 10 yr old CRT Sony that had a good picture and worked very well. We don't watch much TV and my wife found it difficult to justify a new set. I must admit that I watch more TV now than I did before we got this set. I like to watch golf and Duke basketball and both are just beautiful on this Samsung LCD. I have no complaints whatsoever. It is like being there. With more detail. This set doesn't improve the programming, but it makes the few good programs a lot more attractive.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Very good product...Thanks
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This set is simply the best picture ever! There are more inputs, adjustments, and bells and whistles you could possibly want. The only two real cons I could find on the net were 1. “TOC” (touch of color) annoying> NOT! You can hardly see the quarter inch red boarder around the bezel. 2. Even though the picture was the best they have seen the cost was too high. Are they kidding? I bought this set for hundreds under a famous retailer’s “Sale” price at Abes of Maine.[...] This is just a GREAT set at a GREAT price from a GREAT retailer.Chet

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
[...] I got the best price I've seen on this TV. [...] Took it out, plugged it in, and it works great. It fits perfectly in our Touchstone Adonzo cabinet. Picture quality is second to none for LCDs. Great contrast and bright colors. The HD photo slideshows and other built-in content are a nice touch, and this allows you to play your own photo slide shows by simply plugging in a USB drive with the photos on it into the side of the TV. It also immediately picked up the digital signal from our cable. My only complaint would be the reflection of other light in the room on the screen and bezel...but I knew this would happen before I bought it. All flat screen TV's, especially plasma TV's with their glass screems, are going to reflect light (darn physics!). But it is a mild complaint considering the beautiful image quality.Overall very pleased with the TV [...].

I have owned this particular TV for 3 weeks and have had nothing but a great experience. The picture quality and 120 Hertz refresh rate make movies look phenominal. It is a bit pricey, but what quality electronics aren't?
This TV hooked up very easily to my existing home theater system and it has many more hook-up options that increase its versitility.
Prior to making this purchase I conducted research from popular reviewing companies and found their recommendations to be true. It definitely is an exceptional product.
Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
This is the best TV that I have ever owned. I have a 50 inch Samsung DLP in my livingroom but this TV blows it away. It feels like you are in the movie when you are watching HD. It is better and cheaper than the Sony Bravia.

This is by far the best 46" LCD flat screen I've seen to date. My TV room sitting is set up at some crazy angles to the TV and no matter where someone sits the screen looks good. The sound from the speakers is OK. I bought it for it's brilliant pictur, ease of use, and gaming. I'm completely satisfied.

This tv does take getting use to, but in a good way. The picture is so clear and gives a way better 3-d effect. It actually looks as if you are looking out a window into the real world. For movies and sports nothing gets better!!! Beware, some people are a lot more unattractive because this TV shows every detail!!!
Would buy this tv again in a heart beat, and recommend it to all!!!!

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Bottom line is this TV is amazing. It has a ton of inputs, and lot so of upgrades/pre-loaded content. Getting stocks and the news at the press of a button is killer. I do wish there was an red/yellow/white component input on the back of the console--the only one is on the side.
I turned off the 'motion blur' technology, I felt it made movies and tv 'too good.' Not sure how to describe it, but everything looked like it was a made-for-tv movie. There is almost not motion-blur (common even on high-end LCDs) with this model anyways!

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
Forget plasma. Period. This is it. Samsung has succesfully assaulted plasma's last hold of superiority: black performance. As you can see from the attached picture in which my set is showing a 4:3 feed, you can't tell where the screen ends and the black frame begins. Besides that, the TV has more features than I can list, including a clear QAM tuner that allows you to pick up unscrambled digital channels from your provider without the need of a cable box. The remote is perfect, there can be a bit of lag when using the wheel, but since said wheel doubles as a regular arrow pointer (it can be pressed in any of the cardinal directions) that weakness is more than compensated for. In my experience the lag only seems to occur the first time the TV is turned on in a while, and eventually disappears. Did I mention the included backlight switch? The design is simply mindblowingly good. Talk about a room centerpiece that will please even the fussiest of wives and draw breaths from visitors. Monitor start up time is a lot faster than other sets I've seen, probably around 2 - 3 seconds. Viewing angle? That's not in Samsung's vocabulary. The only way you can't see this picture is if you stand behind the TV. One warning: when the TV displays black, it is possible to see reflections ONLY in the black sections if you have a light source in front of the TV, but I only noticed this if I was on eye level with the TV (mine is mounted 4ft+ high). If this is something that'll drive you crazy, you probably want to avoid mounting this TV with a sunny window behind the viewing area. But it's a difficult situation to recreate, happens only in very specific cases, and even then most sets would show other more serious picture flaws under those conditions. This is one TV you'll struggle to find anything wrong with, unless you really really don't like red (the color of the frame). Combined with the fact that you can easily get it from reputable retailers for nearly [$]off MSRP, and this is THE TV to get for 2008, period. Makes you wonder why plasmas are even still on store shelves. I'd give this baby 6 stars if I could.

Comments about SAMSUNG LN46A750 46" LCD TV:
I use it at home. First 120Hz TV (in my opinion) with somewhat decent conversion from 60Hz. I like the pleasant intro screen. I don't want the sound when TV switches on. So far I have found no option to switch it off. 750 has many touch sensitive buttons on the panel, which you can't really see. I still see motion judder on film content. Scaling of SD video is poor. Not many video options bypass scalar altogether. Closed Caption does not work on almost any channels neither HD or SD( I am connected to 750 over HDMI from HD PVR box of Comcast). I am not sure if Emergency messages will show up or not. I like to play music with a USB stick. I would prefer to have a more traditional view of the folders on the USB stick. This way I can select and play any folder I want. Right now, it is not possible without painfully going through the flat file list. Not able to create my own play list or any such thing from the USB stick.

Watched US Open tennis and I could make the "fault" calls before the officials! Great clear picture. Don't know how it could be any better. All this with a roof top antenna forty plus miles from stations.
