Used for 3 weeks. So far, so good. Easy to order.[...]Very good picture, except for some TV cannels (shows)appearing like home movies..poor picture quality even after fine tuning. I have DISH Satellite TV. The TV requiresthe satellite remote to navigate channels and the TV remote to turn the TV on and off and to adjust sound. It would be nice to just have one remote.

This is our main tv, so whenever we watch a show or movie, we watch it on this. I haven't seen a better, more detailed picture & sound is great (even w/o a home theater hook-up). Lots of options for connectivity. We did a lot of research & debated for a long time between this & the Sony Bravia equivalent. Even our cable guy said that Samsung is the best - better than Sony Bravia. Apparently he's seen problems with burnout/ghosting when the picture isn't stretched on non-HD channels, but he hasn't seen any problems with Samsungs. Very pleased with the tv. I was worried that I wouldn't like the 'touch of red' border, but it isn't too much and is only noticeable close up. Only negative is that we're having some trouble with interference with the remote for the HD/DVR cable box, a problem I had noticed in other posts. Easy to work around though, and overall quality makes it worth the minor annoyance.

Mine is set up with a home theater and i use seperate audio receiver and surround - perfect for that. the speaker modules that are part of the product are tingy and not so great, but OK for every day TV i suppose. Samsung clearly focuses most of their design efforst in industrial design and video quality. Audio is a distant 3rd to that

[...] A (now) known problem with this (and other?) Samsung tv's is the fact that they emit InfraRed interference, which disables all remotes in your home. Nice. Spent the day at the cable company switching boxes only to learn it was the tv's fault. Once the tv was on, we'd watch for 10 minutes before it would shut itself off. Then back on. Then off. Turns out there are faulty "inverter boards" in this model. The parts are on back order indefinitely. My family hasn't been able to watch TV, DVD's or games in a month. Still waiting to hear what Samsung will do about this. Wow. We could have done a lot of things with the money we spent, but we could have NOT watched tv for free.

Wow--what can I say--this TV is GREAT!!! This TV is in our family room and viewing the picture is GREAT from ALL angles. We get free HD from our cable provider and the sound and picture is like sitting in the theatre. There is nothing that I can say negatively about this TV. I have had aSONY HDTV in the past and THERE IS NO comparison.I shopped 4-6 months for at TV and looked at theusual places [...] but found the absolute BEST DEAL at Abe's of Maine. Great TV. Thin and easy to use. The remote lights up when it's picked up because of a sensor. The redundant remote was silly though. Samsungs built in auto program automatically unscrambled the HD channels straight from the cable from the wall. I didn't even have the box and I got HD channels after I did the autoprogram. I'll definately only buy samsung, especially at these prices. [...]

I purchased this TV and set it up in my living room. The setup was extremely easy - basically, out of the box, plug in, turn on! The TV is connected to my Yamaha RX-V3800. I use a PS3 as my BluRay player. The picture quality on this TV is amazing. I researched this model along with several others and had decided long before I knew where to buy it, that I would be getting this model and it has exceeded my every expectation.

I've been glued to the TV since we got it! It's a perfect fit for us in everyway. The sound was o.k. when I first set up the tv, but since I was able to connect my older Bose Acoustimass 15 system to it, it is just an incredible home theater package for us. I may buy another just to have one in the bedroom.

I read the reviews and was worried about sound, but the sound is outstanding. For anyone looking for the best possible wall-mounted LCD, this is it. It is so thin that when attached to a low-profile bracket it all but disappears into the wall. The TV, though large, doesn't overwhelm a room.

I have had this tv for about 3 months and i am still impressed with the clarity of the picture.I can hardly stand to watch my 32" standard tv any more and it cost as much as this one a few years ago.I found the setup easy for me but i am a gadget nut anyway.The picture is so nice and clear and so many settings that you can really suit anybody if you play around with the settings.I used the wireless link via the RJ45 and connected it to my router in another room and it worked immediately.I have a lot of family photos on my computor and i just installed the samsung software and checked all my photos to share and viola!!! the tv shows all my photo folders and does a slide show for the folder you select.I have used the wireless link for photos,movies and music and all works great.All of my 13 GB of music shows up on the wireless link and I can pick any of my albums I want to hear.
I used the USB port on the side and plugged my flash drive into it and I can view photos,watch a family movie or listen to music with this also.
The content menu is lacking but I downloaded content from the samsung to a flash drive and got some extra content for free.This also works great and I am sure they will add a lot more content in the near future.
Since I have the tv hooked to my wireless router the info link is very nice for checking the weather for a week anytime you want to.
I hooked up my computor to this tv and was blown away by the size of my browser.So big and so clear that I ordered the microsoft air mouse and now I can sit on the couch accross the room and browse,check mail,watch video,listen to music or whatever.
I did not have the trouble some folks are having with the remote control.I found it very easy to use and the buttons labeled nicely.The only problem I have is trying to see the buttons without putting on my glasses.The buttons seem close together for me but then again I am a 63 year old man.Still I have no complaints other than my bad eyes.
There is no need to purchase the wireless usb ling if you are going to plug this tv into your DSL or HSI or your router.You do not need it and the dsl line does it all.
Overall I find this tv exceptional,easy to setup,loaded with features,fabulous picture.
I did purchase a different wall mount so I could push the tv flat on the wall or swing it around to the corner so both of my couches could view the tv easily.The swivel mount works great for this.
If you are considering this tv then fear not for I did a lot of research before deciding on this one.I am glad I went the extra mile and got all the goodies on a tv that I wanted.I am so happy with this one I am going to purchase another one for my upstairs den when I get the bucks.You will not regret buying this tv or I will eat my antenna. LOL Go for it as I did.
I could say a lot more but I hate all this typing and I am still experminting with settings on the tv.

As far as customer satisfaction from Abes of Maine my order was handled promptly and actually I changed my order in midstream and upgraded it to this tv.They shipped it to me pretty prompt and when I got the tv I called them and told them that the free wall mount was not in the box.They promptly shipped me a wall mount with no questions or hassle.To my dismay an stupidity I found the mount in the bottom of the big box under the packing about 3 weeks later.Oh well,guess all of us are not perfect.

Bottom line is this is an excellent tv in all aspects and my first samsung but because of the quality of this tv and the picture will not be my last.I just think I will go bigger in the future like 50" or bigger.
Overall experience with purchase,tv,setup and quality was excellent.

Beautiful HDTV... incredible picture. Expectedly sound is mediocre. The remote control is slow to respond on startup especially for switching inputs while the TV looks for signals from the connected devices. But overall I love this TV!

we set this up in our family room, which has large windows facing South. We are pleased with the low glare. The colors are brilliant and crisp. Like all new electronics, there are lots of menus to go through to set it up, but the Quick Set Up Guide was very helpful. Only item less than excellent is the sound quality, but we also have a surround sound system to overcome that.

This is a great TV. The picture is great, especially HD channels or bluray movies. The sound is fine. The extra palm sized remote control is great to adjust the volume when my husband hoards the main remote.

I love the "screen saver" type option that shows your choice of party, art or relaxation images and plays instrumental background music. This TV also has it's own built in games, children's music and stories and even a recipe section.

Finally got the HD hooked up and love it. I couldn't find the wireless adapter for iLink anywhere, so had to purchase it direct from a Samsung warehouse for a higher price...and, still waiting for it in the mail. Other than that, no complaints!

This TV would not power on. Called Samsung and scheduled service. Repair came and verified unit does not power on. Will order parts and reschedule an appointment. This will take at least another week.

[...] Setup took a while on Cable since it detected all the scrambled channels and then removed them at the end of the setup. The picture is wonderful with HD signals. Component and HDMI inputs look clear and vibrant. Standard definition tv is passable and because of this, I find myself watching some shows I would not normally just because they are in HD. I've also switched local news broadcast to the only local broadcasting in HD. I can even game and still watch TV using PiP function, which is very nice.The "touch of color" is almost unnoticable with my installation (low light room).I would recommend to anyone looking for a 46" panel to get this one and to get it from Abe's!

I have this HDTV set up with xbox 360 and it is awesome. I also hooked it up with DLNA and it only plays divx, xvid, mpeg4. Anything like MP4, MKV, rmvb will not be read.

I took my time picking out my new TV for the main room in my home. The new breed of 120hz LCD's are amazing and this Samsung is one of the best. The smoothness of the video is stunning! I have not noticed any motion blur yet while watching movies, sports or anything else for that matter. The color is accurate and the black levels are rich and deep. There just isn't anything less than astounding in the quality of this TV.

In trying out the other media features with this TV, I loaded some of my best photography onto a USB drive and loaded it into the port on the side of the set. The gallery viewer opens right up after a yes/no prompt and it couldn't be easier to see your pictures this way. The way this set makes your pictures look is nothing short of spectacular. If you think your pictures looked good before, wait until you view them this way. What a great way to share photos!

There's something about this TV that makes the motion of moving objects and people so smooth, it looks absolutely real. I don't know if it's the 120hz that does this or something else, but there's an element of realism in what you're watching on this TV that I haven't noticed on previous high end LCDs.

I saved almost $800 by buying this from Abes of Maine instead of the usual local suspects. In fact, I was even able to add a 5 year extended warranty for less than the purchase of just the TV from a local store.

Excellent TV at a great price. Great picture & attractive set. Highly recommended. Enjoy being able to play a video from a USB Flash Drive. XBOX via an HDMI cable is awesome. The DLINK options for weather, sports and news headlines is handy. The only negative, if it has one, is the plastic stand and frame tend to collect dust. But it comes with a dust cloth & only takes a moment to clean. You can't go wrong with the SAMSUNG LN46A850 LCD TV.
