This TV surpassed my expectations. 120Hz is well worth the extra cost over a 60Hz set, and Samsung's edge enhancement is amazing. The "touch of color" is extremely subtle.

I am glad that I got the 630 with a non-reflective screen instead of the 650 with a highly reflective screen. The 630 doesn't have the ethernet connection (which only gets you a CNN feed) and it has two HDMI inputs instead of three.

excellant picture,I have it in a bright room and there absolutly no glare.It is mounted above my fireplace with recessed spotlights somtimes shinning on it,still no glare. I picked the 630 over the 650 for this reason.The sound is so,so but I already have a surround system and they all work together quite nicely. Set up was a breeze

I researched large screen televisions for over a year before purchasing. I settled on Samsung after reading Consumer Reports and online reviews that consistently ranked it at the top as well as after watching a day's worth of football games on an LN46A550. I checked out the picture on different models in stores to narrow it down to the A550, A630, and A650. All 3 have an excellent side viewing angle range. After debating about 60Hz and 120Hz, I decided it was best to have the option of the 120Hz since the controls allow you to select several levels of this effect as well as turning it off. I also evaluated the 52A650 that received excellent reviews but I have lights that reflect off my previous TV and didn't want this problem if it could be helped. The matte screen on the A630 is much better for glare than the shiny screen on the A650 and is very satisfactory in my family room. The A630 costs $100 less than the A650 which is another plus. The picture quality is fantastic and very consistent with other reviews I have read. The sports setting made the Super Bowl a whole new viewing experience that I wouldn't do without again. I did not notice any distortion of the football action that some say comes from the 120Hz feature. The high speed movement was smooth with a 120Hz setting on medium. The menu choices are extensive and will take weeks to check all the adjustment options. So far I particularly like the 2 zoom options that allow you to take some widescreen movies that are particularly short on height and grow them to a better viewing size without noticeably losing the sides. The sound quality is also very good and the menus have numerous settings to adjust it quickly to a different style or equlaize it to your specific tastes. I also like the remote control and am glad it does not have the wheel that others have criticized. Overall I am very satisfied and highly recommend this model to anyone considering a large screen television.

I had spent several months researching HDTV's. I had read Consumer Reports and CNET. I also read many reviews. Then I went to every store that was local to compare similar models in person. I settled on the Samsung LN52A630 52" LCD TV. I decided to get the 630 model instead of the 650 model due to the matte finish and reduced glare on the screen. I have a room that faces the east and gets lots of sun. I don't have any problems with glare. The picture is excellent. The only negative I can mention at all is the speakers aren't the greatest, but I knew that going in. The sound is adequate, but you will have to invest in a speaker system if you want to fully enjoy your HDTV movies. The end result is for the amount of money I paid, there isn't another TV in this price range that can touch the features and quality of this TV.

The LN52A630 was a great deal and has all the bells and whistles you need. The remote control is great and learning it was very intuitive. The refresh rate of 120 hz is great, but be careful your other components can handle sending at this level. The TV cable can only send at 60 hz.

The resolution and size of this Television is good enough to highlight shortcomings in incoming signal strength. We have been watching a lot more of the HD channels and it is great. I would not recommend stretching standard resolution programming.

Great TV for the price. This model wins the competition between all other TVs in its class. I love it because the screen is semi-glossy and not glossy like in 650s and 750s models, and it doesn't reflect so much light, which is great for a bright room with a lot of sunshine. Bottom line, best TV in the price range!!! Highly recommend.

I'm not much of a techno geek, so I read the reviews and took the advice of people who already did the research. I couldn't find one at a local store to see for myself, so I had to trust them. They were right. This LCD is great. The picture is fantastic with no glare. I don't have digital cable yet, but the digital channels that are currently offered are amazing. The regular channels are about the same as an analog set. It was very simple to connect to my DVD player then took about 15 min. to run through the auto set-up and it was ready to go. It is simple to change the picture size and Emode via the remote to get the best picture for what you're watching. I've only had it for a week, so I'm still learning but I don't have any negatives to tell yet. Hopefully there won't be any![...]

TV works perfectly out of the box using quick set up mode. Using "Dynamic" mode for picture results in a stunningly brilliant output. We have been able to connect our 30GB Video IPod using the WiseLink cable to play music (and maybe only a subset of .mp3 only files). However, it appears that there is no firmware to play iPod videos (at least that I can tell). We will be mounting on the wall using the T-Rex bracket system. A cool Samsung feature is that you can register the LCD TV serial number online and they will extend your factory warranty.[...]The Samsung website will tell you the manufacture date when you enter the serial number.

The LN52A630 has the sleek 750 style cabinet, not the cheesy 650 design with its giant red stripes. The semi-matte screen hugely reduces light reflections compared to the 650/750/850. The only real downside is total of only 3 HDMI inputs.

I was originally planning to purchase the 52" 550 series, but I was worried that I would get stuck with a poor quality "A" or "C" panel. The 630 gives you the semi-matte finish of the 550 series, with the better quality 120hz panel from the higher end glossy models. If you watch everything in the dark get a 750, but if you have windows or lights on go with the 630.

I compared the 630 to the Sony XBR4 and XBR6, and the Samsung definitely looks better. It also doesn't suffer from the Sony's annoying black level flickering.

Overall I'm very pleased with this set. With HDMI Black Level set to "low" the blacks are inky deep, and the colors really pop. It looks fantastic with HD material, and surprisingly good even with SD content. Well worth the money.
