We researched televisions for a year, and after seeing this one next to several other brands refused to buy anything else and saved for another year to purchase it. It has all of the good qualities of a plasma and an LCD. I have been satisified with the way it handles glare and love the picture it gives. Even just watching air (digital broadcast) channels I am amazed at the quality of the picture. I also often ask my husband if he has our surround sound on and it turns out it is JUST the television - the speakers in it are amazing. We are very satisifed with it. It was easy to assemble and simple to mount on our wall.

After lots of research, I decided to purchase the Samsung LN52A750. I thought it had the best balance of features and most "bang for the buck". I could not be happier. The picture looked fabulous at BB and looks even better in my living room. [...] setup was a no-brainer. The HD channels on Time Warner look fabulous (Battlestar Galactica never looked so good on SciFi HD). I especially love the feature that allows you to plug a USB drive on the side of the unit (WiseLink Pro) to play DivX videos (it supports other codecs as well). I have a large collection of DivX movies and it's so easy to play them on here. The unit can display three feeds from USA Today: Weather, News, and Stocks. These will appear as overlays on top of whatever the TV is displaying. It also comes with software to install on a PC that allows the unit to access multimedia files on the network. Awesome!I liked the remote (long and thin) and was able to master all its controls in about 2 days.The unit has an abundance of connections on the back and side including four HDMI ports. If you want to blow your friends and family away with the picture quality, watch a Blu-Ray animated feature on this set. Wow.About the only weak point on this set is the audio speakers, but you should be using an external home theater speaker system with something like this anyway.

Combined with the Bose V30 Home Theater Sound System, you're hitting the ball OUT OF THE PARK!If you buy the Low Profile Wall Mount, the HDMI connectors on the backside become un-accessible due to the proximity to the wall. Will have to research special HDMI cables then. The HDMI #4 connector on the side helps to fix that issue.[...]

We use the SAMSUNG for viewing HD TV and home movies. Everyone has commented on what a great picture. My friend who installs hi-end in-home theater systems gave high praise to my choice of sets. Consumer Reports also had good reviews which the TV lives up to.One family member thought the default brightness setting may be too bright, but you're able to control that. People, gardens,...almost seem too real. I read one review to turn off the 120Hz on certain material, but I haven't found that necessary.[...] It's still working fine with 30 days of heavy use...past the burn-in period for most failures.Wall mount: A great deal from Abe's. I upgraded to a better wall mount at the rep's suggestion(didn't feel it was a bait and switch) but thought it would be thinner than described. I had been in the market for a new HDTV for quite sometime. I am not a supporter of any particular brand so to speak but have had very good experiences with Sony electronics. So I wanted to make sure the Sony brand was part of the mix. When I ran into this particular Samsung model I was initially impressed with the picture. I walked into Best Buy and was drawn to it immediately. When standing back looking at the screens I found myself always saying the same things "This one is a bit clearer, brighter and crisp from multiple angles." After shopping around town and comparing the TV with others in its class I found no other HDTV that could match or beat the picture of the Samsung line. I was ultimately torn between the Samsung LCD (52") and the Pioneer Plasma (50"). When it came right down to it I scrutinized the details of each unit. I looked at what both models offered as far as ease of use and overall technology and quality. What helped make my decision was the fact that (I believe) the LCD had a slightly better picture and the touch and remote controls of the Samsung flowed better. I was really convinced when I seen the built in content that the Samsung offered (it is amazing). If you have a chance to see one of these in person before you buy. I would suggest taking a closer look to see what best fits you and the area that you are going to use it in. Also a plus for me was the fact that the LCD uses a lot less power over the life of the TV (again in my opinion... to produce a better picture) which will also save you more money over time.

Went back and fourth between the samsung 750 and the sony xbr6 for about a month, reading reviews on both and starring at both at local best buy! Finally made a decision to go w/ the samsung and I am not sorry. The samsung has a fantastic clear bright picture and then you throw in a Blue Ray movie, OMG Crystal Clear!!! Not to mention that the samsung is hundreds cheaper! Also very easy to set up.

Have the the 550 in 52 inches as well. While the 550 is a great TV, that less than a year ago I paid more for than my 52 inch 750 from Abe's, this picture is vastly superior. Blu-Ray's full potential is unlocked only with this TV's digital motion processing and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Samsung blows Sony away. Had to stick the Sony in the unwanted-guest bedroom :)

Don't be hesitant wondering if this is the right TV..it is. And even the wise link and info link technologies are easy to set up. The picture is as if being there. Especially true when watching Blu-Ray, colors are so deep, distinct, and crisp. I've heard others complain about the sound, but I am not experiencing any problems with he sound. If leaning toward an extended warranty I would suggest checking directly with the warranty companies or [...] to save a few dollars. Delivery was smooth, no problems. I am definitely glad I chose this TV. Go ahead, do it!! You will not have one second of buyers remorse.

I had been watching sales and keeping up with popular models at my warehouse club for a year or more and finally decided on the Samsung LN52A750R. You have to acknowledge that 99% of the reviews (I've read over 100) say this TV is FANTASTIC. They are absolutely correct! The few who said the audio was just OK, must have had a great surround sound system, because the audio is really good. Way better than any TV I've ever owned. A plain, low profile wall mount places the rear of the TV close to the wall, where the speakers face. This could compromise the audio. I have an articulated wall mount (tilts & swivels) which keeps the back of the TV at least 4 - 6 inches away from the wall, so audio is fine. The picture is so clear and sharp it looks like 3D sometimes and I have yet to upgrade to HD programming! I'm not sure why, but I'm glad Sony doesn't dominate the large flat panel TV market. The Sony TVs I compared to the Samsung, were noticeably inferior, and cost alot more! The Samsung remote does take a little getting used to but the backlight button is really nice in a dark room. [...] I considered the 860 model: it's main feature is that it's only 1.9" thick and ~10 lbs. lighter than the 750. Makes me wonder if the took some sort cuts to make it smaller. This Samsung 750 is the TV to get and Abe's is a great place to get it.

Great Product It has some internet cababilities. However it falls short on being able to update via the internet. You still need to update the ROM by downloading it to your PC and transer it via USB.

I think I am the 107th person to review thie TV and give it 5 stars. Doesn't that tell you something? Excellent picture, easy to use and you do not have to be tech savy to utilize the special functions of internet and pc sharing functions. The remote is a bit bulky and difficult to handle but is configured well and back lit to see what choices are there. Picture quality with a DVD and a good strong HD signal is almost Blu-Ray.... Blu-Ray is almost life like as if being there. Sound quality for me is fine for regular program watching but can always be enhanced with the use of a amp/receiver/ home theatre system when watching DVD, HD, or Blu-Ray.I bought mine from Abe's [...] If buying from some of the big internet suppliers, you can save a few bucks by shopping for an extended warrantly directly from the warranty companies or [...] for that matter as Abe's is a bit pricey. When I registered ownership with Samsung's website, they gave me an extra 3 months of warranty. Go ahead...make the plunge...you won't regret it.

Great TV with user friendly options. I was torn between this model and the BR6 from Sony and I'm extremely pleased with my decision to purchase the Sammy. I'm using the Samsung BDP-2500 with this TV and the Anynet connection is great. You can control any Samsung device that is connected via HDMI with the included remote. Great Feature.

Had a concern about the glare and reflection because of the glossy screen, but I have no issues, and this tv is in a room with large windows. The only time I see a reflection is when the tv is turned off.

Picture is great. Got the tv just in time for the Oklahoma State/Oklahoma basketball game a couple weeks ago. The game sucked, but the picture was great. Also had it in time for the Super Bowl. Awesome picture.

The picture is unbelievable, so clear and colors pop. Don't worry about the the small TOC red border, with a wall behind it you don't even notice it. It has that floating glass design that Sony use to have. Only complaint, is switching inputs (HDMI, component video, S-Video, etc) requires a "SOURCE" button on Samsung remote. Why didn't they just use TV channels instead? Model LN52A750 does not have a programmable remote. Also Abe's of Maine is a quality supplier, don't even think of going anywhere else, their price can't be beat!

I had a rear projection TV that had a quality picture when the lenses were in alignment. This TV blows it out of the water. What a great picture! I have this in my living room with windows on three sides of the room and no glare problems. Obviously I close the blinds facing the TV but that all. Easy set up and remote functions are easy to use for adjusting settings. Sound quality is good and even better with home theater.

Waited and waited, but this set was worth the wait. I waited for prices to drop and added the Yamaha 863 for sound, what a system!!! We have a very bright home and the LCD is so bright, every movie that was too dark or blurry on our old set brings movies to LIFE! We are having fun watching our entire DVD library again to pick up on missed details in movies. This set is can't miss.

This TV is great! I've recommended it to all of my friends. There are so many options, you can get any picture looking perfect. Sometimes the 120Hz Motion Plus makes the image look fake, but you can change the level to low or turn it off. Also, the TV automatically lowers the volume when the sound gets louder during commercials. There are so many more options to customize the TV how you like it.

Seriously, if you don't buy this, you'll regret it.

Wall hung in living room - great perspective. Picture is excellent. Case is somewhat reflective but screen reflections are minimal; excellent viewing at angles; sound is better than I expected. Network connectivity has been awkward. Would appreciate a universal remote. Power connector should direct power cord toward other connections rather than have to do a 180 degree turn with it. Another S-video plug could be in back.

All-in-all, a superior set; every video input displays a great picture.

Everything was great and the price was $1000 less than the local stores. The picture is better in home than the ones i saw in the stores. The only problem I had was picking up the TV alone and setting it into the entertainment cabinet.

I installed the TV in the Living Room which is fairly bright. Few people have written about the glare problem, but I have not noticed it in my setting. Had some trouble with Comcast Remote setup but my wife one morning figured out after an hour on Google Search.

Haven't tried the DLNA and USB features yet.

I've had this TV for about three weeks, and so far it's been great. The image quality is superior, viewing angles are great, and it's bright enough to watch in a brightly-lit room.

My only issue is with the on-screen video input selection - I can't program my universal remote to automatically switch between HDMI, component video, and S-Video for the different devices I have connected to the TV.

Hangs on wall perfectly, looks like a picture hanging there! The red color around the edges is a neat add on... the picture is absolutely remarkable! It makes a neat little sound when you turn the unit on and off. You can connect the tv online, and access daily news and all kinds of things, I haven't had a chance to explore those features quite yet. there is also a usb port on the side to insert a flash drive etc, you can view avi formats along with several others via the usb slot. This tv has so many extra things I can't begin to think of them all! It is definitely a HUGE improvement for us to go from our old standard 25 inch tv that still had the beveled glass and wasn't a flat glass front like the older new ones. This 52 inch TV is the best yet, and we are very, very pleased with it, and highly recommend it to others! We got to watch our first blu ray movie on it just last week, and it was a fantastic picture! AAAAAA++++++

Picture performance among the best, 120mhz not needed for sports. the only negatives are minor such as Remote Control needs picture toogle mode between wide screen and 16:9. Remote control menu mode is slow and sometime none responsive. Cannot use tv as center speaker for surround sound. Wireless Internet connection still not working!

This is a great TV. It looks great on the wall and the picture is perfect. I highly reccommend this to anyone looking to purchase an LCD. I have it in a room that gets a ton of light and there is no issue with glare. I love it!!!

This unit is perfect other than sound quality. The only thing missing is front mounted speakers, however, sound is just OK, make sure you have surround to aprreciate this package. Color os SOOO bright and clear, highly recommended for bright rooms..

This is a GREAT device. It has an amazing appearance in our family room. The features are complex but learnable (we are still learning). The picture almost appears to be 3-D. I am very glad we got the 750 model with AutoMotion Plus. This is very nice for sporting events and action movies. WE LOVE IT!!Abe's was great [...] the pricing was FANTASTIC!

I love this TV! I am extremely happy with it. I do have a large area where I can view my TV from up to 35-40 feet away. The resolution looks great up to approx. 8-9 feet before starting to look pixelated. Not bad for a TV this large. I believe this is due to me not having an HD receiver yet from my sat. provider and I'm also not using the best connections for hook-up since my receiver does not support HDMI or component vid. I'm currently using an S-video cable. Still very happy with what I'm viewing. The controls seem very easy to use. A+ in my book!

This is the 4th HD LCD I own and it is the best! the others are SONY. They are OK, but the picture jumps out at you on this Samsung. She is setting over my fireplace and looks fabulous even when she is turned off. The picture is brighter than any of my SONY's. I am going to get a Samsung as my next HD LCD...

This is a great TV to have. I have had it for a week now and I'm very satisfied with it. It's my first LCD TV and I can say that the picture image looks just like a Sony TV. It was very easy to hook it up and the setup was plain and simple. I still haven't found a way to turn on the red lights around the TV. The image is awesome and the black to white is unbelievable. Some movies seem kinda fake with an echo sound to it though. But over all it's a great TV for the money, and I did a lot of research before settling on this TV. [...] I purchased on black Friday. The picture deserves a rating of 5 stars. The control zapper has good large numbers but the on screen menu with some not clear manual directions can be confusing. They need to include a quick set up manual. Overall this is the best TV I have ever owned and the picture is like watching movies(regular DVDs) in 3D. I highly recommend this set.

Setup much easier than anticipated. Just have HDMI cables ready - one for TV to cable box and another for DVD to TV. The sound is quite acceptable without extra speakers. Having researched models to death, the Samsung 750 is a great combination of latest meaningful technology and price. The 850 is a couple of inches narrower and the 950 has a screen 3" larger than my 52" and LED features, but I can't see the ever-so-slight differences in picture quality for another $1800 in price. Looked at Sony's KDL 4100 series also but felt the Sammy's connectivety features won out over all by very small margin.

We have set up our home theatre and the viewing is great. The hi def picture is almost three dimensional. Looks like our place will be the kids hang out! The price was also very competitive - even the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale prices of other retailers didn't match Abe's.

I love the HD channels but the non-HD local channels are blury. I called the cable Company and they say it is the TV and I called Samsung and they say it is the cable. Not sure what I am going to do. I am also have problems with turning on the TV from the TV. The touch panel doesn't always work.Would recommend to a friend but would tell them about my concerns.

Stunning picture quality.There is some glare on the screen but I just close the blinds and it is fine. The red frame is very subtle and shouldn't be a show stopper if all else is what you want.

This is one of the excellent HDTV available in market with 120HZ. This TV can challenge the sony XBR series. Even normal cable channels comes good, I watched DVD movies (component cable) so far with animation, I felt I may not need blue-ray the quality is excellent.I am excited to see how good the blue-ray will do.

I did not got IT in factory sealed package, looks like it was store display. However, I tested for dead pixels, I did not find even a single one, so I am fine with it.

I spent months looking for a set just as this one. When it arrived from Abe's, and set up, I was fascinated with it's ultra sharp, bright colorful screen. One day in the future, there may be a product that can beat this set, but today is not that day. The newer LN52A850 and 950 are the same unit just a few more bells and whistles. This set will initially startle you with it's supreme quality. I can't use all that this set offers. I have not seen it with Blue-Ray, but I bet it's astounding. I'm using a new Samsung 1080p upconvertor DVD player. It's great too.

I compared the LN52Ax50 series side by side to the Sony XBR and in my opinion Samsung blows Sony away. The image quality, brightness, look, feel, and most of all the price! Why pay a crazy high price for a Sony brand name when you get so much more for less price.

As the title to my review says "look no further" I really mean that. Don't stress yourself out looking at all the different brands and models and comparing them. Put your mind at ease and just buy a Samsung, you will not have any buyers remorse and will love how eye poping BluRay & HD TV looks on this awesome LCD.

Its one of the best picture quality I've seen in a LCD. What I like most besides the picture quality is the design. Unlike some LCD, this one has speakers mounted on the bottom of the screen. Therefore all you see is a flat screen and not the speakers!

One great thing about the LN52A750 is the relative light weight of the TV for its size. The TV also produces excellent image. I am still not familiar with some other wi-fi connections the TV can provide.

This is a top-rated LCD TV that lives up to the hype. Ordering from Abe's of Maine couldn't have been easier! It shipped quickly and they didn't try to upsell me things I didn't want or need. I was a little nervous about how the "touch of color" would look, but it's subtle enough for me. A little narrower frame might be nice though.

We love the new Samsung 52" TV. Ordering was easy, removing it from the shipper was VERY easy, as was the set-up. This TV has a really cool feature with modes for "RELAXATION" OR "PARTY" Built in hardward scrolls thru different beautiful pictures in these sections. There's also a menu for recipes. Very cool.

We reviewed most of the brands and models but this Samsung was the best choice for the price with one of the fastest refresh rates out there (4ms). The shiny screen is great for color but not advisable if you have a light source directly opposing the screen, I don't, so it couldn't be more perfect. Sound is better hooked to external speakers. We love this TV.

Great picture! It's like Charles Gibson is in the room with you! Only downside is the setup menu & remote are hard to use, but works great(better) with my Dishnetwork remote.
