There are not many people who do not use surround sound, so who cares about he built-in sound of the LCD. The image is absolutely mind-blowing. It feels as if I am there in the picture, really. Spent a year comparing, came down to the 52B750 or the Panasonic 54" Viera V10. The Viera requires color tweaking in 'Custom' mode (THX dim) and renders SD poorly. The 52B750 color accuracy and uniformity also superior to Samsung LED models. I also bought the Samsung BD-P1600 blu-ray player. Pretty cool, just power on the blu-ray, automatically powers up the 52B750 and the movie plays. Very impressed with 480I DVD upconversion.

Being a Quality Engineer, my expectations were extremely high. I spent countless hours over several months reviewing LCD (and some LCD/LED) options. Finally, I decided on the Samsung 55" 120h but before making the purchase, I went to a retail outlet to see for myself. Long story short, of all the different models/sizes on display the LN52B750 52 240h stood out in regards to the picture quality. [...] Initially, I was experiencing buyer's remorse (between the time I ordered it and had it up and running) but once this was accomplished, all that went away. This by far is the best LCD available (based on several hundred reviews and now personal experience). I've had it 2 weeks and blown away by the picture quality every day. I've had friends over that can't even focus on a conversation while in the same room with the baby. Suffice to say, this unit exceeded my expectations. One small issue but not w/ the LCD itself. Ordered the wireless LinkStic USB device and had some trouble setting it up. I have ATT Uverse and even though all the settings (IP, Gateway, etc.) where correct I still couldn't connect to the wireless router (I could see the router but the TV couldn't ping the Gateway). ATT help as well as Samsung were no help. I finally went in to the router itself (via IP) and temporarily disabled the security (WEP Open). Once I did that the Mac address was allowed in to the router. I then re-enabled the security and whala I was connected. The LCD's firmware update was also a breeze.Overall, I (and my discerning girlfriend) are very, VERY pleased with this purchase!

We have stopped watching our other (non-hd) tv's in the house. This is awesome. Everything pops. B&W films are unbelievable. Set up was reasonably easy, except the internet connection option is difficult to figure out. Not enough side-mounted connections makes wall mounting a little challenging- figure out in advance whether you'll need the connections on the back side before choosing to mount on wall.

WE USE THE TV AS A MAIN SOURSE FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT AT HOME, THE PICTURE IS UNBELIEVABLE. USED THE STAND THAT CAME WITH THE TV INSTEAD OF WALL MOUNTING, REALLY NICE STAND! THE SET UP SEEMS NEVER ENDING WITH ALL THE ADJUSTMENT, BUT HAVE FINALLY AFTER A WEEK I HAVE IT SET THE WAY I LIKE IT. THE TOUCH OF COLOR I THOUGHT WAS TO BE A RED OR SILVER BEZEL OUTTER EDGE IS A CLEAR EDGE, VERY DISAPPOINTING..SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE RESEARCH!!

I upgraded from a 42" Toshiba LCD to this and I love the bright, sharp picture. But it is wall mounted in a very brightly lit room with a lot of windows. The screen is much more reflective than the Toshiba was and the glare is more than I expected. Once the sun goes down and lights in the room are turned off, it is amazing!! Internet connectivity and file sharing is quite easy to set up and is a pretty cool feature.

With the exception of the PIP, having to come from an old cable connection, the product is awesome. Especially, the DLNA option, connects to my network to pick up internet and other DLNA devices and servers.

Excellent picture, user friendly and easy set up. No major programing. Plug in you equipment & turn it on. Bought this paticular model & a Samsung for PIP, as not mamy tv's have this option.My first major purchase on line and it was a piece of cake. Less than a week from pressing "Enter" on the computer to "Power" on the TV & saved over $700.

The picture is great and it actually pulls in a bunch of HD channels without any antenna attached. Some of the channels get better sound then others. So it is a little bit of a pain to keep adjusting the volume. I don't have any box hooked up, just straight from the wall. The price was much better here than any retail store [...]

Great TV. Bright picture from all viewing angles. My only concern is that the edges around objects and people sometimes blur, particularly when the object in focus is moving fast relative to the background. Don;t know if this is a problem seen in all LCDs.

This is a nice product but that is obviously the expectation when you spend that kind of money. The price continues to drop to reasonable levels for a high end television so shop around. There is always room for improvement or they would not continue to come out with new models but this one nails most of the home needs that should satisfy you for several years to come. At just under 60 lbs without the stand, if you wall mount make sure you secure it very well. The picture quality for an LCD is currently as good as I have seen. Sufficient connections at this time, simple set up and easy controls should allow anyone to make the set up to their home entertainment systems. Have not seen much difference from 120 Hz to the 240 Hz but it is not football season yet either….we will see.

The PC share is an area of opportunity in my opinion. Took me quite some time to get the television to recognize the media server. Some of it was my fault but still experiencing issues. The television will recognize the media files one time and the next time is an unrecognized format. It would be a benefit to be able to access the television menu options when a movie is playing from the server. Access to media player would allow for fast forward, pause, and back up. Overall… good investment. PC share will continue to be improved and current versions can be downloaded from the Samsung site.

Wall mounted with 5.1 surround sound and blu-ray.
HDMI picture is amazing on HD stations and bd. player. No issue's with Abes although you can likely get the upgraded tilt wall mount cheaper elsewhere. Clean, easy install and setup.
This is a 5 star TV, The best picture and performance for the price period.

I was particularly happy with this LCD. I did a ton of research before I ordered and this LCD is definitely the best bang for your buck. The only minor detail I've noticed is that the processing is so crisp its almost a little hard on your eyes sometimes, but there are a ton of customization options to make the image suit your preferences. Clarity is top-notch and combination with a blu-ray player made me feel like the characters were sitting in my living room.

Overall very satisfied with this television.

This TV replaced our old (early 90's) rear projection 300# TV. The old tv was cutting edge technology when we got it and it served us well but it finally died.I did some research and decided on the LN52B750 52" Black Flat Panel Series 7 LCD HDTV by Samsung.I have not been disappointed. The tv has been great so far, we have had it for about 10 days -My sons mounted it on the wall.No complaints re. the picture or the sound.I haven't figured out all the things it does yet, eg. the internet connections etc.[...]

This replaced my smaller 4 year old HDTV. I also have a smaller HDTV in another room. The picture is so much better and clearer than the other TVs it is amazing. The depth of field is excellent as well.
The TV still has the slight shuttering of very fast moving objects common to LCD TVs even with the 240mhz but I have not messed with the original settings to tweak that to my preferences. I do think that the internet uses are very basic and beyond the weather and flickr,not very useful.

THIS TV IS THE BOMB!. I was worried about ordering a TV online at first. I didn't think I could trust sites that were offering the best prices. I went for it with Abe's of Maine, and am SOOO HAPPY with my purchase. I bought the Samsung LN52B750, it came in mint condition within one week, coast to coast. It has a 240 Hz mode that is unbelievable, as well as a 150,000 - 1 contrast ratio that produces really rich colors and deep blacks. I am glad I spent the extra money, and wouldn't do it any other way. Bought from Abe's of Maine for [$] shipped. They were going to throw in a free flat wall mount, I asked if I could do something else and they agreed to give me the white glove shipping service instead. I proceeded to buy an articulating wall mount from another site for less than $90 (this thing is bad-ayas)...Coupled with a PS3 for blu-ray I am set. -Cheers P.S. I also bought a HDMI cable as well as a HDMI to DVI-D cable for connecting it to my laptop. I can then watch movies from my computer and play them on the TV, or just use it as a bigger monitor.

Its set up in my bed room. For movies and video games the resolution is fantastic but I have regular cable running to it and its not pleasing to watch if you have this you need High Def cable or satellite.

Happy so far. I showed a buddy and in a week he bought the very same model.

I have owned the Samsung for about 3 weeks now. Though I do not yet have HD cable set up yet, the picture from over the air HD broadcasts and upconverted DVDs are fantastic and Blu-ray dics is amazing.

I like ease of use of the remote, the picture set-up options and connectivity choices. My only minor complaint is the tiny sound produced by the speakers.

This television is just simply awesome! I hooked it up and the setup was simple and easy. Once I got it hooked up I immediately put it on HD television and WOW! I really feel like I am looking through a piece of glass watching the actors in real life with this television! I watched a Blu-Ray movie and this thing is just Sick. With a response time of 2ms and 150,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, this Television really performs. Now, I am considering replacing my bedroom LCD tv simply b/c after watching tv on this, it's hard to watch tv in my bedroom!

Great picture on this TV. We have it in a bright room but I have not been bothered by reflections (it's far, far better in this regard than the rear-projection TV that it replaced). At my current picture settings there is a pretty severe drop off when viewed from an angle of 45 degrees, but I have not yet experimented with the settings to compensate for this.

The sound seems very good to me, but I generally use my AV receiver for sound, so I haven't spent much time listening to the TV itself. Nor have I experimented with the various on-line features (yahoo widgets, etc).

This is really an amazing TV. I hung it on the wall over 2 weeks ago, and have been blown away by it several times. I have a PS3 connected to watch Blu-Ray. I bought Earth- the 4 part BBC series on Bluray. The scenes were really amazing. The only complaint that I have is that the auto select for the screen size when not watching high def is kind of a pain. The sound is just average, and remote is cheap - not even universal. Navigating the menus to change the 240MHZ setting is a pain. There should be a shortcut to turn it off, but there isnt. No problems with Abe's of Maine either. They gave me a free HDMI cable with the TV which was broken when I got it (cheap piece of garbage), but other than that - everything was fine. Overall, I recommend that you buy this TV.
