Overall, this is a great set. I saw it next to the 46" Sony XBR in a store, and it was clearly more vivid with deeper blacks. Viewing a Blu-Ray is truly incredible. The only thing I'd say negative is the Internet widget stuff isn't ready for prime time, and the set does NOT come Wireless ready; you have to buy an $80 USB device, otherwise you'll need to hardwire with an Ethernet cable.

I am currently using it in my home gym. However, I think it is highly suitable to be the center piece of a home theater system. In addition to the great picture, I was impressed by its ability to stream video and audio from my DNLA server on my Linux PC. (I use miniDNLA). Some reviewers criticized the red touch of color feature. I do not think it is an issue since the red light can be turned off.

Without doubt this is the best LCD in the market. Although bit expensive due to the slim design and LED hype, the TV is stand out when compared to equivalent product in the similar price range from sony, LG, panasonic. The set-up was very easy and picture quality is very good compared to LCD standard. With a slim wall mount the tv really looks good on the wall. There are plenty of options to customize the viewing setting also.

The only complain, I have so far is the sound quality which is poor compare to the picture quality. The TV performs best with HD connection on a HDMI cable.

The external audio output, which is essential with this unit considering the understandably poor sound from the integrated speaker, cannot be controlled from the TV's remote. This is a major oversight by the designers. Also, the red trim around the perimeter is not beneficial.

However, it is really thin, so if you need to slide your tv under the door occasionally, this is your tv.

Planning to buy a 2nd one LOVE IT!

If you don't mind the sub-par sound then this TV is for you. I just added a sound bar and it's now superb. It does have some bright spots, meaning the screen is not perfectly uniformly lit. I suppose this is due to the edge lighting LED's. Overall i'm not disappointed and plan on buying an additional 55" for my living room, with a pair for 5.1 or 7.1 speakers and Blue-ray it will be AMAZING!

Word of advice as far as mounting the TV the 46" is 40lbs and is VESA 400 thus requires a large mount BUT I spoke to a representative at OmniMount and she mentioned that I can get the CL-M + VA324 adapter vs. a larger mounting bracket. The TV is super light and there are no mounts made that take that into account with the LED TV's.
