I get a weird noise in the speakers once in a while that goes away, but, i am sure the surround sound home theater system from Samsung will fix that when i purchase one :) I ran an HDMI cable from my PC, so now i am able to watch anything off my computer with great quality as well... it's just amazing!

The video is awesome. Movies and gaming are fantastic. The TV speakers need improvement from Samsung. Poor sound quality. An external sound system is a must. I have a Bose system so I use it. Price from Abe's was great.

First let tell you how I came into the conclusion we needed a new TV this is for the whole family. I myself have an LCD. The living room had a 32" and a VERY old TV more like those that look like CRT monitors (with the big behind) I don't know what you call them. So you know its about time to upgrade. [...] I won't post the price since it tells me not to include, [...] (sorry :P). I did my researched and then purchased. [...] So let me get to the TV. We got it and it was sitting in our room for a week because I was sick and we had to move stuff around for the sake that we have tons of stuff in our living room. When we did setup up it was VERY easy to do so. The TV is very light two people can EASILY pick it up and mount it. As you may know the TV is very thin, one of the reasons we purchased it. The design and color throughout the borders shine throughout the house, what I mean is it stands out. The people at Samsung really did good on the design of the product. I am proud to own a TV like this because all my friends now go "oooh" "ahhh" new TV then they stare for a few seconds realizing what they are looking at. Jealous friends I say!. Moving on when I plugged in my Direct TV which we just have "regular" service nothing special, no HD or anything. I didn't see much of a change in picture quality just a bit slighter, but I did notice the color change dramatically (impressed by this). I knew I had to get HD channels though so that is one thing (we lack) nothing to Samsung. However, I wanted to try something very solid and HD like. So I got my new laptop XPS 1645 which includes a heavy processor,ram,video card and other misc's. Now how irrevelant is that to this review? Well, to start if you want to play HD (720p/1080p) off your laptop to your TV your going to need something strong to play it. Try an integrated video card to play a 1080p and it will lag the whole way (most people think its the TVs fault). Anyway moving on so I try a few 720p movies just quickly to see the quality and if the Samsung made it any better. I can't understand this yet but it did!, better than the laptop being used and considering it has an RGBLED on it. Now moving on to the 1080p the quality was amazing...it managed to play the movies smooth without a hiccup. That being said I do plan on making a storage system for the Samsung only. (Samsung has my attention on this soon). The sound is OK for me. My parents (old school) to the old TV we had say its PERFECT!. However, I know sound and we need a home theather to fully take advantage of all the technology we have in our hand. So for an enthusiast you need a home theather to keep your name :). Other than that is very loud with the one that comes with the TV.I don't know what more to say the quality is great, the resolution is a plus, the contrast ratio (I only tested the waters) I have yet to see the whole island, is very thin and light!, beautiful setup.Hopefully you make the right choice picking this TV. Abes of maine nobody here has heard it now they have. I will def be purchasing other products if the price is right.Please if you do consider this TV or any other do RESEARCH. Ask questions. If someone tells you something and you don't understand, ask again. It's their job to do so. I can stress enough how much people aren't aware of computers (my field) and I can say the same for TVs if you were considering purchasing.Goodbye =)

The clarity of the LED picture is so realistic that you think you can shake hands with the people on the TV.

I have talked two other people to purchase the Sansung LED TV so far.

Samsung should include LAN adapter, it is an expensive TV and this is an extra cost of about $80.00.

I think my tags in the "Pros" section covered everything[...] the Samsung UN46B8000's performance is absolutely excellent in every way. I have it connected to a HD DVR receiver and a Samsung Bluray player with an optical connection to my home theater system. Totally OUTSTANDING!!!

Product is great but there is a slight bleed of white light on to the screen from edge led's. Most of the time I don't notice it but in really dark scenes it's noticable. Picture quality is spot on and wouldn't expect anything better. Easy to mount, light and thin so it looks great on the wall. Sound quality is poor but you don't spent [$] on a TV without owning a true sound system so it's not a problem for me. Another thing, sports (football,basket ball, hockey) look perfect on this TV.

Great Image. I am very happy with this buy. [...] The only thing I was unhappy was that it doesnt have wireless connectivity. You do need a wireless samsung adapter that costs $80.

Absolutley stunning picture and unbelievably slim. Samsung's warranty program and customer service are outstanding. The TV I ordered had a line of dead pixels, but Samsung replaced the panel within 4 working days.

I bought the TV with the std wall mount at first, but was convinced by Abe's to try the upgraded version, and I do like it a lot. I prefer it to the stand, and since the TV is so narrow, it looks great on a wall. The resolution is out of this world, and the widgets that go along with it are fun to use. I was surprised that there is so little glare, because it is near a picture window where the sun shines in every morning. I would recommend this TV to ANYONE!!

I was looking to buy a flat panel tv within the last few weeks and had my heart set on buying the Samsung PN50B860 plasma until I saw this LED tv on display..It just simply took my breath away!! Right now I believe this is the closest picture you will get that is true to life.Watching a blu-ray movie on this LED tv will have you saying OMG! I was watching my first blu-ray movie last night(The International) and had to walk outside and back into my house because I could not get over the 3D effect,,clarity,detail and contrast of the picture.And YES!! there is a visual difference between 240 and 120 hz and this set handles it perfectly. Cnet and some other viewers were a little too hard on rating this set,,but it's your own eyes that will tell you that this set is the best looking and best performing LED out there at the moment,,and maybe longer..The only one negative I have to say about it is the rather weak sound,but one has to expect that coming from a tv that only has a inch and a half of cabinet depth.I went out and bought the new BOSE CineMate GS series II digital home theatre to upgrade the sound and couldn't be happier!! Im glad that I made the right choice on buying this LED tv.

Upon arrival, I used several movies to test the quality of image - BeouWulf, TopGun and Transformers - All were superb. I never noticed such detail before. The darkest moments showed-up clear and even during the brightest, again the definition seemed excellent. I've heard a lot of rumors about 'fine-tuning' is required for such scenes, but haven't seen a requirement as of yet. I'm going to test further, once I get a 'Blu-Ray Player' - supposedly, this is more of a test for such a system. So far, even with Sports (Football, Soccer or Tennis) - I haven't witnessed any ghosting or lag. I'm very impressed. By the Way - XBox 360 looks awesome.

I watch a considerable amount of television, perhaps twice as much as the normal viewer. The 46 inch screen is what you expect HD to look like and sets the standard for contrast and refresh rate...great detail, especially with decent HDMI cables. It makes the 32' Samsung in my bedroom seem archaic, even thought it is only one year old. Better refresh rate and contrast ratio will prevail every time regardless of size. So, when you find it affordable, get one for sure.

I am using the TV as a seocond monitor and for TV and Internet browsing. The only downside is that they use the Vista generic driver for the TV instead of their own. So when you expand a web page it goes beyond the boundaries of the screen. Ethernet connector was flaky and I had to tape the cable to the connector to ensure connectivity. Cable management on the back could be better for thin mounting. otherwisse the TV is awesome and very happy. Media sharing is kidn of awkward but it works.

This TV is a stunner, after researching for about 2 years, I was convinced to go for this TV and I am very right in my decision. Picture quality is terrific, no blurs. Deep blacks, does not seem like a LCD. Very easy to setup. Speakers could be better. I would definately recommend this product who is looking for picture quality. I did not give this TV a 5 only because of its speakers, if I was jugding just the picture quality, I would definately give a 5.

This is probably the only thing I've ever bought that got not a single negative comment from my 18 & 20 yr old techno-geek sons. It set up quickly and it's impossible not to be impressed with the incredible picture - excellent contrast for a non-plasma. Fast response times - haven't noticed any lag in movies or gaming. The non-HD picture is admirable as long as you sit more than a few feet away. OK it wasn't cheap but at least it wasn't over-hyped and then disappointing after the purchase like a few other things I've bought. Beware [...]the low-profile mount, according to the warranty you must keep the TV mounted at least 2" from the wall and their mount is only 1" - just something to keep in mind.

It's awesome. I have no complaints thus far. Since its so thin, it feels to be a little flimsily attached to its stand, but I think this TV was made for wall mounting. Its super thin as great connectitivity options. It's just awesome. I am a bit disappointed in the Internet@ features. Its just like a whole bunch of widgets that very few people would ever actually use. It doesnt feature any kind of browser and it should also have a hulu add on (in my opinion)
